Otto von Bismarck

Here's a thread to talk about the great man and the statesman, the unifier of Germany, Bismarck. I have a project to do on him, so any assistance as to good sources and such would be much appreciated. In particular, if anyone has any of his speeches as primary sources or otherwise, I would be extremely happy.

Also, I did a quick search and nothing related came up, which saddens me.

A man who drank 5 litres of beer, than he drank 3 litres of wine, than 2 litres of some other heavy alcohol, than 1 litre of water, EVERY EVENING...

A man so drunk doesn't know what he does, basically that states that he might have been an idiot when not drunk, and due that he was drunk, he unified the Germans ^.^ xD

He had 13 000 bottles of wine in his cellar when he moved from Schönhausen.

I did a project on him a month ago... Or some more than that. I can recommend that you get yourself a cope of " Bismarck: THe man and the statesman".

Worthwhile reading, a little jumping between dates and require some preknowledge about the situation in Europe.
