Ordering troops by class

I figure this has been asked already but I used the search feature and couldn't find the answer.

How do I select archers to order instead of everyone? All of my troops are grouped into the one group. I've tried pressing every number and F key possible to no avail.

I tried that and it didn't work. I think I solved the problem through. In the party screen you need to select the troop and to the right of their name is a little flag, click that and set archers to formation II. Of course I figure it out minutes after making a thread lol.
