option to NOT take locked horse without mod :/

when are they going to implement the locking horse to actually LOCK your horse D:

i keep upgrading cav and the locked horses get taken first.

i personally like the Aserai horse the best, and did this experiment:

i had 5 aserai war horses, and 20 other war horses (vlandian courser, etc..).

i LOCKED the 5 aserai war horses, and did not lock the others.

i upgraded 20 troops that all required 20 war horses.

the LOCKED aserai horses got taken, ALL 5. while they were locked. and i was left with 5 that i never locked.

why can't they add something so essential D: if u lock the horse it should just be taken out or a menu popping that asks you if you'd like to use "x" amount of locked horses or any at all

I would also liked it if you can choose which horse your troops would use, instead of randomly.

I've also been pondering this. I try to upgrade using Imperial Chargers. But to guarantee that I don't lose my better horses I have to stash them.

Drives me insane when upgraded troops take some Aserai horses I was saving for companions that were only a few points away from being able to ride them. And of course I am on the opposite side of the map from an easy supply of them and have to trek across the known world to collect more.
