Opinion: Your toaster computer is your own fault, not Taleworlds.

Let me say that bugs and crashing aside, stutter, as well as hardware-related bugs, but purely fps and performance, your potato computer is your own problem. Your 8gb ram 3.2 ghz processor is the problem.

I have very consistent FPS on a rig I built in 2015. This is computer gaming, you need a gaming computer.

This game is nowhere near the level of mediocrity that M&B and Warband were in the visuals department. If you were expecting a game that you could play with the same toaster, then you were delusional from the beginning. It has been 10 years of advancement in gaming, and TW obviously was able to pour more resources into this title, yet somehow this game runs even smoother than Warband for me.

I love butter

Specs
16 gb DDR3 1866
i7-4790K 4 core 4.0 ghz
gtx 970

EDIT 1: Okay a lot of you guys are talking about upgrading your rigs now, don't do that, most performance issues are 100% gameside right now, I'm making fun of people who are playing this game with the same computer that could barely play Warband 10 years ago.

If you are seriously looking at upgrading, most important is a CPU with a lot of cores. This game utilizes a lot of cores, an 8 core or 12 core CPU is where you will see huge gains. Even a 6 core would be great. GPU isn't so important, just need something that can keep up, and you should always have 32gb of ram, 2x16 sticks, ram speed isn't that important.

If you want to PM me with upgrade questions, I would love to help.

But wait for performance updates first before you go spending money, unless you truly do have a toaster.

Specs:
8GB DDR4-2666
Ryzen 3 3200g 4.0GHz
GTX 960 4GB

Runs Maxed settings / 1080p / 1000 battle size. / unlimited ragdolls and corpses... (i've tested 500 vs 500 at about 40fps. and anything below 800 is 60+ fps.
Lets go ahead and add the fact that I only have one ram module so it is running at 1666mhz rather than dual-channel 2666mhz.

P.S.

Your Intel i7 4790k is pretty high end compared to the rest of your specs.... Better than my processor by miles and I still run fine. (I actually have a PC with a Intel i7 4790k / r9 390x 8gb)

BUT it is true. the speed of your processor DOES matter on this game. 4.0GHz will destory 3.2GHz in frames.

Even though I am not a fan of this kind of ''potato computer'' rhetoric, you have a point there. The game provides decent graphics. When this visual quality combined with hundreds of units, it is not surprising that many people suffer in terms of performance. But I am not sure that this is the case with plenty of people. That the optimization is problematic rn is a fact.

Yea my CPU sounds high end but tbh it doesn't feel like it, it bottlenecks hard(on all games), almost always at 90-100%, my GPU barely turns on... Hope to upgrade it to something with more cores as I read previously that this game is able to utilize more cores, think Warband only used one core. Most games are moving towards more cores.

You really shouldn't have problems with those specs. I thought the GTX 970 was way lower than my R9 390x, but i was incorrect. Maybe something else is the cause? I can run any game maxed 60+ fps. Some even 4k quality at 60fps. and my specs on that pc are near the same.

TBH I'm mostly complaining about Wargrounds on Modern Warfare draining my computer.

Helps if it is a pure gaming computer, like you play music with winamp, use firefox, and don't install any of the pita programs that destroy your registry.

Ryzen 3700x
1080ti
32gb 3600mhz ram.

No crashing issues or performance issues here.

My girlfriend has a
Ryzen 2600
1070
16gb of ram

and she's in crash city... It just seems completely random

I can play that game on low without issues using the ryzen 3 3200g pc.. but again, those specs are far below yours.

I have a GTX 1080 with an i something or other as a processor and I've had zero problems. My computer is four years old. I get how frustrating it is though. I played games for years with slow computers.

I used to play Warband at 5-15 fps daily. because I love large battle sizes more than I do frames.

The Store page literally disagrees with you, OP.

Plenty of people with performance issues that have far beyond these requirements.

Wait and you trust steam requirements?

Come on, I stopped looking at system requirements 10 years ago... they are never right tbh.

... those don't assume you want 60fps, thats just to turn the game on.

Irrelevant, there's plenty of issues just the same. I have double those specs(apart from GPU) with severe performance issues.
