Open Post: Armagan, We Could Use A Video Update Addressing Our Concerns

正在查看此主题的用户

Because I don't understand peoples complaints. I don't and never have. The game is brilliant. It looks great. It plays great. It's taken the formula of Warband and improved it.

In Summary: Every time people s**t on Bannerlord I take it to mean they hate Warband and that breaks my heart.
Read again the complaints without thinking it's some kind of attack dude, i love M&B and it's my most played game ever since the beta of the original one (must have more than 5k hours in it spread across classic and warband over the years) and that's why i'm here complaining, i want bannerlord to be an amazing game, i want it to be a natural evolution of warband just like the later was from M&B classic but beyond pretty graphics and the combat everything else is actually worse in bannerlord than it was in warband.

Warband had no mainquest, viking conquest had an amazing and immersive mainquest, bannerlord has a chore disguised as a mainquest where you run across the entire continent trying to learn some lore snippets then do a thousand generic hideout quests and stop the weapon caravans until you can stop the conspiracy, if you fail 3 factions declare war on your own and that's it, no unique scenes, twists, lore development nothing, it would be better no mainquest than this.

Same goes for every other feature outside combat (which is really good but again has problems, armors were much better balanced in warband for example, in bannerlord it looks like they are made out of paper and they implemented formations but the AI don't know to fight in them)

smithing is broken since release and had a better system before where you payed a smith to create things to you like was shown years ago (would be best if we had both alternatives)

combat AI is horrible and there is talk of they wanting to dumb it down even further to increase FPS target in consoles.

Campaign AI needs major work aswell with armies besieging deep into enemy territory where they have no chance of defending instead of bordering fiefs, no evolution at all from warband in that department.

Non-existent diplomacy, campaign strategy, the AI armies just move around aimlessly besieging fiefs they see as weakly defended without any sort of plan for the wars that happen entirely random.

missing dialogues and other features that warband had and now are considered too complicated to be implemented in the successor and the list goes on, as was said to you before there are threads compiling both missing features from warband and missing features that were shown during the gamescom/E3 videos and devblogs.

Those would be the very minimum the community wants, the game has to be an improvement over warband and not a setback with prettier graphics.

You're a joke dude. Just stop commenting. Nobody is fooled or even remotely persuaded by you're garbage arguments or defenses anymore. Many of us saw the writing on the wall months ago. The emperor has no clothes, and this game will continue to be a massive disappointment / missed opportunity because simps like you continue to champion and defend the development decisions against LEGITIMATE forum complaint and feedback.

Damn even @Blood Gryphon has reached his bull**** tolerance level.
Read again the complaints without thinking it's some kind of attack dude,

Except I am being attacked? For saying I like the game. What a joke. What an actual joke. This has gone from one of the best communities to one of the worst.

I am SICK of not being able to talk positively about a game I enjoy on the OFFICIAL FORUM FOR THAT GAME.

I'm not the one attacking you and i like the game aswell, just believe it's a husk of what it has the potential to be and want to see it improved cause i really love this series, ignore rude comments, some people can't discuss without taking it personal i think.

You can talk positively about it as much as you like dude but if you come to threads complaining about something on the game and try to white-knight it some people will not like, everyone wants their voices to be heard and all that.

Then why should I have to put up with stuff like Stewvader? Literally demanding I leave the forum?

Honestly i would just ignore rude comments like that and try to keep the discussion productive
No one should have to ignore being insulted to talk about a game - on the official space of that game.

There are almost 20,000 people playing and enjoying this game right now... why is this forum the stomping grounds for 10-20 people who hate it?

It's more than 10-20 people lol.

By the power of Mokoš, this discussion needs to proceed in a civil manner, including not ignoring arguments one doesen't like just because they disprove one's agenda. Been seeing that a lot since times immemorial.
Only by challenging our own views can we get closer to the truth!

No mod must have seen that yet and they usually try to deescalate conflicts before locking a thread and only issue warnings/bans if the person offending does it again and again, let is slide if the guy calms down, we all can get a bit heated in our passions sometimes

Going back to the topic, bannerlord is a good game it just isn't better than warband, it's lacking in alot of areas and aspects that honestly everyone thought they would naturally improve instead of stripdown in the sequel (specially if you see the most famous mods from warband and the huge amount of immersive/QoL features they implement)

I was hopeful at first and telling everyone to have pattience that they would deliver but after almost a year and the recent developments i changed my mind, i'm doing what i can like complaining on the forums, reddit, changing my steam review until i see some change in development etc

Bro settle down. I get ya -again I use to be a pretty big defender of the developers mainly because what i am really defending is the initial engine both armagan and his wife created -to me as a long time PC gamer -its marvel and unrivaled in what it can do. that said - that engine has already been applauded , theres no point to keep cheering that landmark while they continue to churn out newer titles in which we as paying customers -expect the games various aspects to all improve as well. It seems you are in a state of perpetually applauding the initial work which again is fantastic -but now we are being showcased other aspects that we all crave like better kingdom management and richer storylines - as shown in various dev blogs yet none of that has materialized.

So your going to hear mass frustration here until those things are addressed and they need to be addressed. It appears they are forsaking the original PC base in favor of streamline and accessible for consolers which creates a massive grievance from PC original base. And rightfully so. So if you want to be the voice of dissent against that -its a free internet -your welcome to do it just dont expect everyone else to share your gratitude - at this point....I have minor hope for the Q&A coming up but not much

When I google "AxiosXiphos forum taleworlds" Even google gives the correct answer in 3rd search result.

He voted "no" to a popular fan-favourite game mode being added to Mount & Blade II.

Is it 20,000?
@Piconi Are we going to allow posts like this? Unrelated to the topic - and the only purpose it stretching the argument he couldn't come up with. Should we turn threads into yes and no type of threads with short answers or pointless questions?

I'm personally sick of seeing someone goes into every single complaint thread and comment "go play something else". No one cares. If you like it, congratulations, enjoy your game. Let people criticize it do the work and suggest improvements. Backlash is not about you stating your positive feelings, it's about your pointless suggestions, sorry. Just put `Bannerlord is great. No battle mode needed. No feasts or improvement required` to your signature, so that we can ignore you without hesitation.

In all fairness, a few posts (including that one), just couple of minutes after my post might have been written and posted before my post was read by anyone.
Not only will i not be as lenient from now on here (as i keep asking everyone politely to keep it civil and on topic), but the chance of actually getting any official answer (the whole effort behind this thread) is decreasing with each off-topic, rule violating post, while the chance of moderator actions is rapidly increasing.

it is really frustrating to see features in Warband be dubbed as 'too complex' by decision takers at Taleworlds.
someone said this in another thread. i asked for source but he didn't deliver.

will you give me source for this please?

One such i can remember recently was when the community made many suggestions to improve party management, Mexxico noted them and took to a meeting where they where almost all rejected, only two simplified versions remained that where a slide to adjust budget for your clan members leading parties and another to set their stance (aggressive, defensive etc)

Among the suggestions where some that exist in warband already like giving suggestions to other lords/marshal to siege/defend specific fiefs with relationship penalty if it goes wrong, people wanted this for all lords or at the very minimum for your clan members like saying "patrol around this area", "go to x settlement to defend", "besiege x settlement" etc

I Have No Control Over My Vassals - I accidently started an Oligarchy This is the thread you are talking about.

@StewVader I have. There have been too many small reasonable things that have dev support (or else they wouldnt be brought to the meetings) that have been rejected.

All we are asking for in this thread is that Armagan come give us an explanation for what his vision is of the game before release so that we can temper our expectations. We've only heard that they are on course for their 1 year release date (3 months from now) and no word on if there will be a delay or not. Its been 9 months of EA with no word from the decision maker himself on what a "finished" bannerlord will look like. Should our feedback be limited to bug fixes at this point or is there still enough time to discuss and think out other features?

is it this post?
We carried some of your ideas to meeting and also we added some ideas. However sadly most are rejected. As a decision there will be only 2 implementations at this subject.

1- There will be a wage slider for your each party so you will be able to limit waghe of your parties. For example you can set this limit to 500 denars for a party lead by companion X. So this party will stop recruiting / upgrading men when their party limit reaches that limit. Even this was nearly rejected (would be left to future for finding better idea(?)) - we insisted to do it now and it worked.

2-Player will be able to set stance of their parties as one of 3 stances (defensive / agressive / default)

What are rejected :

1-Player will not be able to set a prioritized target for his clan parties. Example : you will be able to set stance as defence but you cannot select a prioritized target. So you will not be able to say your clan party prioritize defending target X (which would result in patrolling around X most of time). (I am not aganist this suggestion by the way and wanted to see at game)

2-Player will not be able to select prioritized upgrade targets or focused troop types like archer / cavalry / infanrty or limit recruiting to any culture. Imo this is not so important too so much micromanagement.

3-Most dissappointing (just as personal view) is as a king we will not be able to do anything over AI decisions as it is current situation of game. We come up with an idea of king to spend influence to boost some war targets. In this scenario king will be able to spend 50-100-200 influence to boost a target so probability of AI armies to select this target would increase. If that target is captured by one of our armies this influence spent by king would be shared by leaders at that army. If any other kingdom capture that target king would get spent influence back. So as king player would be able to boost selection of target. When player is vassal he would see a target chosen by AI time to time (not always). This would add much sense to game. However it is also rejected. If it was accepted you will be seeing something like this (and player would be able to change it if he is the king) :
