Okay, I have to say, the Noregr units are WAY too strong. They need to be nerfed. That is all.

In my two games, they got wrecked right away, eliminated in one and knocked down to just Rivacheg and Wercheg in the other in the first 200 days.

Yes, but in battle they just carve through troops like they are nothing.
Keep in mind that Noregr can not advance in tech so what they start with is already their best possible units.
Nordic Union starts with basically the same troop tree, but their troops can gain up to +8 Ironflesh, +2 Agility and +2 Powerstrike once they reach stage 7, with the first boni kicking in on stage 2 already.
Personally, I think they should be able to advance in tech, because their society was actually very forward thinking for their time (the dark ages, not the high middle ages) while the christians were/are extremely backward, contrary to what is shown in the mod.
But as long as they can't, it's only fair to make them a force to be reckoned with, a culture fighting for survival against the christian barbarians.
