"Cant sort troops by type or level any more. havent been able to play since. the new order of battle system is useless. manually issuing orders and forming up your troops in the start of the battle was half the fun. cant belive you killed my all time favorite game before it was even born."

what drama. i'm just telling you that i quit the game that played since warband and have played over than 800 hours. i can't use my shock infantry, can't have bodyguard, can't protect my companions and my low tier troops can't have experience easily. i'm not a f1-f3 player like you so it's unplayable for me.

Just wait for the mod mate

It's definitely a feature implemented without much thought given on it. What's the point of being able to position your troops before battle when almost always you're the attacker and AI simply sits on the other end of the map and waits for you to come over. Player usually had all the time he'd need to be able to take a battle format. I hope they bring an option to be able to disable it and return to old numeric method.

Pardon me for not being Alexander the Great, but I'm well beyond F1-F3 and yeah, the game is playable. It's also in EA. If you don't like where it is you can walk away for a couple of months and do something else. When you come back it will be different, and most likely better.

Yes, you're correct. The old system of assigning soldiers to groups was VERY VERY flexible, probably a old WB feature ??? The new system is TOTAL CRAP, it's taken away all the flexibility.

Welcome to world on Console Domination.

Rolling back to 1.65 as I write. I tried it for about 16 play hours...I asked myself why I wasn't having fun. The answer was training troops is taking too long and the ability to tactically control troops is radically diminished. The 75% slow time while giving orders benefit, the only pro of 1.7,is not worth the 500% extra time fighting bandits/looters to train troops, due to not being able to have ultimate control over troop categories.
If and when the battle maps that reflect the strategy map are ever done, it MIGHT, MIGHT be worth it.
I will consider 1.65 the final version if they don't remove this slider console junk.

The problem is that all the good mods will be made for the actual versions, so going back to 1.6.5 is no option for me, although I hate the slider system.
