One of a kind

This is essentially an appreciation thread for warband, this game is truely one of a kind not only does it give players the capability to fight massive 64 player battles with their friends and complete strangers but it also features one of the most in depth sword fighting systems i've seen in any game. In fact it probably is the most in depth.

The only short coming I can see in this entire game is in terms of graphics but I can't help but think that Mount and Blade gets unjustfully overlooked by the masses due to this flaw, despite it having the best gameplay of any game i've played in years.

Which is an incredibly impressive feat when you take into consideration that this game was orgiinally made by only 2 people, a man and his wife.

Couple of threads like this already, but yes, it's a real gem. Needs some polish still, but it can only get better.

Yes I appreciate this indie game, I can't find mounted combat, economy and politics that it has in other games.

But, I hope they won't skimp so much on the money, and hire some testers to test for bugs. Also a dedicated server for downloading the game, like how they moved the forums to a new server.

Great and unique combat system. Graphics are OK, I'm not looking for interactive colorbook.

Why hire testers when some of us report bugs for free. The problem is that they can't fix the bugs as fast as we find them, because they kept adding new features at the same time as debugging the game. It will get better in time.

I'd much rather have a game that is thoroughly fun to play with some annoying bugs, than the cookie cutter money makers produced by video game conglomerates that I play for twenty hours and never pick up again. I put MnB in the same category as X-Com: this is a game that will be played forever because the fundamental gameplay is so strong it never gets boring.
