THANK YOU ALL who helped me install the mod. It was annoying but I did it :D ok I searched the threads and couldn't find nothing on how to acually declare war on other factions. lol so how?

As Diavolo said, just attack their settlement or patrols. This might change later but for now war is easy.

I don't think any message comes up. Close the screen after you give the money and then talk to the character again and a mouse over shows an increase of 10 for each 1,000 gold, or at least it's been working that way for all the companions I've recruited, they're all at the "devoted" stage.

It's as Chiksika said. While the relation is increased by 10 you get no message. Should the new relation be enough to hire her/him you will get the topic to do so but that is the only change you notice.

I could only bribe them once :/

As far as i'm aware, you can only bribe them once. 10 relation for 1000 dinars...not bad. A darnsight better than sitting in the same room as them for an hour :)

Actually, I believe the restriction is that you can only bribe them if your relation with them is below ten.  So, if for some reason your relation with them drops back below ten, you could bribe them again.

This is hypothetical; I haven't actually done this.  Professional driver on closed course, contents measured by weight not volume, settling may occur with shipping, offer not valid where prohibited by law.

In my last game I edited the conversation so that the topic comes up as long as the relation is under 90. I wanted to try out different heroes without having to rescue their behinds a dozen times.

How did you do that?

Open the file conversations.txt
There are several instances with "I_want_to_give_you_some_gold" (don't remember the exact wording)
  • You will find a 10 some number blocks before the above text (this conversation can happen as long as your reputation is below 10).
  • You will find a 1000 a few number blocks after the above text (you give 1000 gold to the hero).
  • You will find a 10 some number blocks after the above text (you increase your relation by 10).
In some instances you won't find the first 10 but a 50, this is for conversation with your own heroes where you can give them money for relation when you have at least 50 relation.

If you change the first 10 to 100 you get the topic as long as the relation is not 100 or more (caps at 100).
If you change the 1000 you can change the amount of money you need.
If you change the later 10 you can change the amount of relation you get (100 for maximum results).

I think I found three instances for other heroes (in settlement, outside settlement, hero of foreign nation) and two for my own heroes (inside settlement, outside settlement). I do not advise to change these for actual game play because with this you can get all level 30 heroes on the cheap.

P.S. Save your conversations.txt before you do changes. I won't be responsible for any damage you do.
