Hes a thief.

Why do I say this? Well after getting my first castle and he showed up, I placed a couple Lordly items I was going to save for Alayen in the Item Pool.

Upon returning to the castle, the Treasurer was wearing the Lordly items I had placed in the Item Pool and his tunic and leather boots were there instead. I found this a bit annoying but just dealt with it.

After taking another city I noticed Aubrey had regained his tunic and boots in all my fiefs so I was like...good he gave me back my armor, so I checked the item pool and..nope, both items he took to wear were gone and there was still a tunic and boots in there, also a pair of swords I placed there mysteriously disappeared as well, so I was a bit annoyed with that.

So I stopped storing any items in the item pool and no none of my companions have the items either and I didn't set the item pool to allow companions to upgrade from the item pool so effectively, everything in there should have stayed there, but Aubrey decided he looked far nicer in a Lordly Scaled Armor and plate boots apparently, and then that stuff just dissapeared and two Masterwork bastard swords just up and disappeared as well so I just started putting everything in my private chest and only allowing Aubrey to manage horse acquisitions as he doesn't appear to have a shifty interest in them.

Anyways just something I noticed about Diplomacy even in 3.1.1 that I find a bit funny.

I have to say that I am greatly amused by this bug report.  :D
Feel sorry for your lordly items, though.

maybe he realized that the stuff didn't fit and so he decided to sell it? ;)

Going to look into it.

Yeah he totally went down to the market at midnight and sold it for a bonus I bet. Least he keeps his grubby hands out of my treasury.

Thanks for looking into it. I've looked at the NPC flags for him with a troop editor. Course theres nothing there that would indicate a penchant for updating/swapping clothing out of an "inventory" in his possession. It could be that the Item Pool is somehow acting like NPC inventory for him but in an odd way. Ergo, NPC lords swap back and forth from their armor on the field to clothing of various types in sco areas. Might have something to do with Aubrey having access to an inventory of items, and then a native bit of Python that applies to NPCs being translated oddly in his specific case.

Shouldn't he have the following flag?
Code:
tf_is_merchant       = 0x00001000 #When set, troop does not equip stuff he owns
Because right now he only has
Code:
tf_hero|tf_male

lol so that's what happened. I had been wondering why I a couple of games back, I came home to the castle and found Aubrey wearing a dress. I thought maybe he had some sort of crossdressing fetish or something. But I guess he just likes sampling my item inventory. mystery solved.
<---------------------------------------------------------The proof is in the picture!

hmmmm i want to dress them into women now, buy those pink frilly dresses and let the chamberlain auto equip
