Now that i am marsharll i NEVER get any quests. Is this supposed to happen or not?

You are supposed to give quests. Or at least lead your forces.

I didnt mean that, i mean like the assasinate a fugitive and start a war with another faction quests.

It's off topic but how can you become Marshal, is it offered to you or do you have to trigger it by talking to a certain character? I have above 500 renowns and my relation the the faction leader is at loyal stage, yet i can't keep the castle and town i took.

Then screw the king and join the claimant. Instant Marshal status. Even better if you're on good relations with most of your kingdom's lords.

there are certain advantages of becoming a marshall through rebelling, for instance you can choose to who to give castles/villages/cities and you are able to declare peace with other factions, all theese are unavalable to you as becoming a marshall through being elected.

oh and i forgot to answer one of the questions above, to be elected as a marshall you must have very high renown (im not sure but i think its something around 600) and you have to have a rather high relationship with alot of lord in your factions( about 10, and it doesnt have to be all the lords, just alot of them) if you follow this you will at some point get a message  saying that the king of your faction heard that some lords think you will make a fine marshall and then you get to choose of you want to compete in the elections or not. mind you even if you get in the elections you might not win

Well I was Marshall, but it was my first game, so I didnt knew how to make peace and war with other factions. I only knew that I could give other Lord some missions to patrol around or plunder villages. And the renown you need for the job isnt that high.. I became Marshall early in the game. Just help the Lord with some Quests where you'll get Renown and the Lord will like you. I didnt knew what a Marshall was, so I said that I wanted to become Marshall. All of the lords chose me. I didnt do anything with the job and attacked all of the castles and cities by myself. At the end only the Khergit Khane or something were left, the others were no more because I toke all of their cities and castles. I also got about 3.000 Renown what was easy to get. (For the people who think, ya but if I cheat, I can also rule the world, I just used Ctrl+T To see thet enemy's was party's.

I started a new campaign but I didnt looked when I saved, so my first saved game was lost.
