Old version question

I have started playing the old Mount and blade versions. In version 0.854 I am with the Nords, owned 3 villages and 4 castles. I also have conquered all the castles. How do I besiege towns?

Can't you just attack them?

In older versions it was not possible to attack towns or even castles, I can't say if that's the case in your 0.854

In fact i dont remember a Nord faction in 0854 version.In 0808 for exaple there are only the Vaegirs and the Swadians.Maybe you are talking about a mod or i am wrong

To say the truth, I have bought a magazine with video games, which had a demo of M. and B., in version 0.854, from which I discoverred the game. Now, in my version 0.854, I played with no mods ( I hadn't found them yet). It had all the Factions: Swadians had 3 towns (Praven, Uxchall, Suno) and were at war with Nords, Vaegirs, Rhodoks. Nords had also 3 towns (Sargoth, Tihr, Wergheck) and were at war with Swadians and Vaegirs. Vaegirs had Reyvadin, Rivacheg and Khudan, were at war with Swadians, Nords, Khergits. Khergits had 3 towns (Tulga, Curaw, Halmar) and war with Vaegirs, Rhodoks. Rhodokians had 2 towns (Veluca, Jelkala) and war with Swadians, Khergits and Vaegirs.
You also could besiege castles, but not towns. Oh, there was and (!) Zendar!

I dont know about that magazine of yours,it just surprised as i thought that in 0854 there were only two factions.

Well i believe they start from the 0960 version.I played Hegemony and i could siege towns and castles.But why do you play old version when you can play the 1010 one

Oh if you mean that you want to learn the progress of Mount and Blade propably.

The newest version isn't very challenging unless you fight nobles since it's hard to increase your party size limit. Although, if you want something more challenging, get a mod.

I already have mods.  And a lot I can say... But I prefer knights beta II. You can say that I want to see the <<biography>> of this game. It is like reading a book. You read it, and then you start reading, sometimes, other books that this author have write...\
