WHAT THE ****?!!! Cant I use my 0.632 character in this "New" version (isnt it 0.700 or something)?!
I have to make another guy, and level it again?!

Yeah unfortunately they're lost. You should have downloaded the full game installed into a separate directory. Or made a back-up of the old saves. Armagan needs to edit the download page to warn people about that...

I'm sorry that you are so frustrated Lord Nascour ... it can get quite frustrating when you have to leave a favorite character behind to start a new version.

There are ways to make a new character and give him/her the same approx. level and wealth and items. Cheat mode is still in the game and is quite helpful to those of us that really liked our old characters.

The changes in the new version are many and there is a fairly large thread devoted to just those changes.

Narcissus, if you have any contact with him could you tell Armagan to update his website and just put a warning up on the download page?

I guessed that saves would be over-written but only from my experience with mods. 90% of people won't know.

If he updated his site there wouldn't be so many threads by people losing all their saved games to apologize in.

I remember someone saying that we probably wouldn't be able to use them, Ilex or Okin i think, so i wasn't too surprised.

Joking aside, I will ask him about it. This could go hand-in-hand with my suggestion in Alpha testing and stable demo suggestion ... as it would make (and keep) a lot of people happy.

EDIT: Sheek ... would you be willing to start a new topic in suggestions about this? Would make it easier if I have something to point him at and I am starting to not like posting other people's ideas. Makes me feel like a thief.

I'm sorry Zadock ... I think you misunderstood ... or I am not understanding you.

Old saves are not compatable with this version.
