Hi to everybody, I used to play mount and blade, it was a good game and I was happy buying it

Now I see there is a new M&B warband, but I see that the game mainly looks the same, same factions (1 aditional faction) and multiplayer added (very nice)

What I want a know is, there are any aditional improvement in war band ? it is worth the money buying war band ? or it is just the same as mount and blade but with multiplayer added and 1 aditional faction ?

And finally if you previously had mount and blade you have to pay the 29€ ? or do you get some discount ? Is warband standalone or I need to have mount and blade original installed

No discount
Stand alone

Please check all other threads on the very same subject, we have tons of them with hundreds of pages if its worth it or not, what is new and not etc etc

All that for only $29.95 ??? WoooooooooooooW

But will they throw in a shamwow, cut the price in half and offer free shipping if you read this in the next 15 minutes?

you should get ashesh,
I think the multi-player makes up for it. by far the best thing from warband. Single player is okay it is a bit buggy though, and it's more or less the same as M&B vanilla's

Unless I'm mistaken a demo is available. You can see for yourself whats new.

the demo does a poor job of illustrating the differences, as most of the new features are about kingdom control. Its hard to see that at level 7.

Still, there are some differences to combat (kicking, chamber blocking, AI is changed a bit, animations obviously, altered way of giving orders), as well as the new Sarranid towns to explore, plus some of the quests. I think playing the demo would give him a fair idea of whether it would be worth getting.

I think WB is worth a buy for the multiplayer aspect. If you're not interested in PvP, I'd wait for a price drop, because while the SP campaign has certainly been improved a lot, it's still more or less the same game.

I can of course only speak for myself, but ever since I bought the game, I've players about 60-70 days of the singleplayer campaign and spent... well, all else on the multiplayer  It's nothing like playing singleplayer battles, if that's what you've heard. With an actual person behind the enemy character and the additional combat features, your experience of M&B combat will be forever sqrewed up... in a good way! There's a lot of hours hidden in the multiplayer, so yes, worth the buy if you're into that stuff.
