Ok, I officially love college

Then why do your profile and spelling tell me you're only sixteen? You've claimed to be in your thirties/fourties before, so don't tell me that was a joke.

Let's wait for the 'it was late and I was tired' response.

*Is 21, has two jobs (three, if you count the IT consultant work I'm doing), and has never even seen Iron Man.*

eh?
I wasn't claiming to be 40 that was directed to Stonewall.

I'm not a fan of Pep Rallys and **** either. Its hard to get excited when your mascot is some gay skirt bearing gladiator.

I hate pep ralleys right now. Tomorrow I have to get a pie thrown at me at a pep ralley to make all the younger students laugh.

Prep rallies, wtf? Sure as hell never had any of those here...or maybe I was just too busy and happy not knowing about them.

But uni was pretty great though. Got a class you really didn't feel like going to? Just sod it all and go for a drink! Did that plenty of times with some stupid law course (*shudder*), whenever we had that we usually went "**** it dudes, let's go bowling", what with there being a good bowling place being almost right next door to the uni.

Bah, I can't do that here. Skip a class more than 3 times and you are out of it, meaning you have to take it again next year or semester, depending on its lenght.

Seriously? I find that surprising. Class attendance isn't mandatory at my school, AFAIK. I'm used to a fair number of people not showing up anymore after the first few weeks of classes.

Thats how it works here, at the beggining of each class each Dr. or Profesor takes the list, and check who's present and who's not. Being more than 15 minutes late means 1/2, if you skip the whole class its 1. If it sums up to 3 and a half you are screwed.

Wow. Are the classes fairly small? I could only imagine the Professor of the intro psych course I took trying to take attendance for ~700 students.

It always starts with hundreds of students, but by the end of the semester about 1/5 remains. Theres sheet in which you must write your name, sign it, and then write what would be the equivalent of social security number for you (Well, I mean the number by which the State identifies you ). In the smaller classes they do call each ones names though.
