I've been playing around with creating custom mounts of various animals, and even thrones. I know that the default mounted rider animations for horses and camels have height build into the animations. This causes the rider to hover above smaller animals such as dogs when riding them. I can swap the animations that are being used for the rider to other base-game animations, but obviously none of them look right for the rider.
I am hoping that someone is aware of a way to offset the rider's position while mounted to fix the issue of hovering above small animals, ideally I would hope there's a way to handle this through xml changes, but if there isn't a built in offset that can handled there, I'm willing to try anything.
If anybody has an tips for how to deal with offsetting the rider or the mount's position, and possibly even rotation (thrones load backwards when the meshes are loaded as mounts), I would love to hear about it.
