I want to share with y'all a story concerning this screenshot:
I created an Italian Character named Gioacchino de'Finni. After doing the initial quest, I went to Milan and I enlisted in the army. I wanted to start as a line infantry this time. So, I went to the military depot and I bought my uniform... but cartridges costed like 408 francs. Thus, I had a musket with no ammo, being a musketmen myself. I decided to do quests for money, so I spoke to the Milan Guild Master. He gave me a quest I really could not refuse:
I had to escort a herd of cattle from Milan down to Naples, and he would've gave me 328 francs. Knowing that every good modder fixes first and foremost the cattle behavior, I accepted it. I recruited 6 line infantry recruits in Milan, and started making my way to Naples. Everything was fine, then we reached Umbria (for those who don't know our geography, it's where the Tiber starts) and I saw a band of 8 highwaymen heading towards me and the cattle. Now, roleplaying a bit, I thought that they were there to steal the cattle, hence I bravely attacked them. The battle ended with one of my recruits being knocked unconcious (remember that), and with me finally getting a musket and ammos. I was almost in Latium, then a band of 15 Highwaymen was spotted. With only 5 able men, I engaged them to save the 82 cows I was herding. The battle was fierce and ended with the death of 2 recruits. The screenshot is about my last stand against those f*ckboys. I finally reached Naples, I sold the loot, and made my way back to Milan to get the pay. But then, at the height of Montecassino 10 Neapolitan Militiamen, who deserted the army, attacked us. I only had 3 militias there. And so the battle started. I spared my ammos as long as long as I could, and with Italic bravery (lol) I surrounded the enemy lines and shot at them meanwhile my militias valiantly held the hill. In the end, the deserters charged my troops. I bravely charged the enemy behind their back knocking them with my hunting musket, meanwhile though my miltias were fighting to the death. In the end, they were 1v1, but the deserter treacherously stabbedd him with his bayonet, hence my last soldier died. In a fit of rage, with Italic fierceness, Gioacchino de'Finni charged the deserter and killed him, and the battle was over. I finally made my way north, and I was paid. 7 Milanese went to Naples. Only 2 of them returned, one of them unfit for battle (my recruit lol).
