Yeah. How would I go about unwrapping it properly? The texture is simple, took me five minutes to make, but the uv just sucks.

Aye, a sphere that can unwrap each of its hexes onto a single hex will allow you to keep the detail high, but the texture size low.If even distribution is the aim, a geodetic dome would be better than a sphere. Looking at your texture you should give it a try.
