No! Hate to say it, but you're doing it wrong by over scoping your idea. You create individual assets first. Preferably you want to create a tile set, like a wall that can be duplicated, and then prop specifics, like an arching doorway and a gate. Give me a minute.Slawtering 说:

Edit: I pulled up some renders to show you what tile sets can achieve.
You can pull off entire environments with few good assets. Never model the entire map at once. You cant scale properly that way and you will have wasted assets.

Oh, excuse me then. I haven't slept in 24 hrs. Just trying to assist, and summon ideas to help.J32 说:RMOD-Dylan 说:No! Hate to say it, but you're doing it wrong by over scoping your idea. To me that looks like a map icon, not the actual city scene. If that's the case there is no sense to do small details to the model.

Its faster, but its not better is all im saying. You will find out later in university.Slawtering 说:Im simply duplicating and then merging vertices and or edges when in place. We are taught to do as much as you can from a single mesh and build out but this way is much easier when multiple number of the same meshes.

Because this isn't titled "Official 3d Work In Progress art thread!", and because it has merit to the thread being I dont know.... a peice of 3D art that has more meaning than your post? Quit being a troll.CurtisWS 说:what's the point in posting old work?

So dont post 3D work people might like to look at in an art thread for 3D work? I get what you're saying, but that guy was being a troll. I wasn't looking for a critique, but if someone wants to respond, it better not be why did you post art in an art thread like a troll. It wasn't constructive and was troll bait. A better response from our friend here would be, "". Nothing AT ALL!jacobhinds 说:Don't throw the word "troll" at somebody asking a legitimate question. The purpose of these threads (art, modelling, music, writing, sceners etc) is to show work and get critique and feedback from other artists. If you show something you completed years ago, there's not much point in anybody critiquing or even responding to it, so it'll just get ignored.
Don't mean to discredit your work, it's just that nobody wants to see dumps of old projects. Show something you've been working on recently.
