off hand blade

now i'm sure this has been asked before, but i'm trying to use a weapon as a shield, i've entered it correctly into the module system i think

but upon opening the game i find the blade is held oddly

now i'm aware that the weapon can be rotated in brfedit (although i'm unsure on how) but this i suspect will afect the model if i use it as a normal sword

any ideas?
 
You should open it up in a program like Wings3d and realign it so that it appears to be held in their hand. I had to do this to make the Hook Hand from the Pirates mod be usable as a shield. A sword used as a shield would use the same blocking animation as a shield though, so it would probably look like you were blocking with your arm and not the sword. Like in this screenshot with the Hook Hand.

Hi, I'm trying to do the same thing with a cudgel, so I can have a troop wielding a pair of kali sticks.  I don't know how to use Wings though, so is anyone willing to do that for me? I can send the obj file or the whole brf.  Thanks!
