Oddest bug ever - I killed myself? I took myself prisoner? Twice?

This may ring to be the strangest bug I have ever seen in M&B. Or, in fact, in almost any game.

I am playing v1.011, installed through Steam. I used the Battlesizer mod to a size of 400 and I have the Native Expanded mod installed, the most current version. I have no other mods installed.

I am around day 300 in the game. In the past few minutes of play I was wandering around looking for smaller lord parties to take out to build up some morale for an assault on a Dark Knight castle. I found a Vaegris company, which I'm at war with, and attacked. After I won the battle, I hit tab and ended. I was immediately put into another battle that was just 1 dude. I was half tempted to use auto battle, but something inspired me to do otherwise. I then began running forward, wanting to be the one to lance the dude to death. I thought perhaps it was the Lord I had attacked.

Boy was I surprised. As I approached, the NPC i was going after did not move. Also, it looked curiously like me. I found out why when my lance actually hit. You'll see the hilarity or whatever you want to call it below. I lanced myself to death, I saw the combat screen indicate that I was on the enemy side and had been defeated, I got to take myself prisoner, and now I am carrying around myself in my party.

Interestingly, despite being at full health when I lanced my supposed doppleganger, my health was also reduced to 10% when I exited the combat screen. This is despite the fact I have 3 doctors in my group, with 7, 8 and 9 in First Aid.

I have saved a copy of my save games.

The bug gets EVEN WEIRDER!!!

A few game days after this incident, I go after another Dark Knight company. I attack the company and I see the same dialogue you expect to see when you tell a lord about the potential usurper  - you know, where the prompt is "I have heard in my travels someone who calls themselves yadda yadda..."

Except the person I heard in my travels is apparently me!!!! See pictures 10-13 !


*** UPDATE 3 ***

It happened AGAIN! This time after fighting a Nord company. This time, a few days later, I got a ransom notice for myself!!! See the pics at the very bottom.

First, this should probably be in the Native Expansion subforum, as it appears you're using an outdated version of the mod.  The clone problem did occur in .550 and .560, but should be fixed in all new games started in .570.

Second, please put your images behind spoiler tags as they take quite a while to load...

I assure you I am not using .550 or .560, I am using .570.

I did not even own this game until just a few weeks ago and never had any mods installed until I put NE .570 in.

This was a brand new game created on a fresh install of M&B through Steam + NE .570 installed by the book

Yes in retrospect I should have put this in the NE forums - if I could move it I would. Perhaps a mod can?

My bad. It looks like i DID originally have .550 installed and tossed .570 over it. I'm going to start fresh with .570 and tryin again.

Just to be sure, though, I'm trashing my existing install and starting over. And next time I'll toss it in the right forum. And above all, I was more amused by this bug than anything.
