Odd bug with tree blocking faces

I am currently playing 1257AD 1.03. Whenever I try to talk to anyone in the field, there are brances covering their faces.

I searched for a solution to this issue but the only thing posted was from 3 years ago, and I only found that after trial and error with search terms.
