It's not a dig, it's me telling you that trolling here won't help, and the only way to get the ban lifted is apologise, or appeal.

Hi guys,

ACC1 - according to the current rules merc clans can only help out one side, at this point in time there are 4 participating clans Rawr/Meow, SPLH, KoS/Aos,Dojo with Rawr being the only "merc" clan. The pool of unclanned available mercs = Papa who generally plays for SPLH.

Lets be reasonable, Dojo may not be able to field 20 players due to individual avaliability, they would however according to Doom want to get as many people able to participate as possible which is good for everyone.

I propose that Dojo should "lock in" numbers by tomoro, and allow mercs to fill in the rest (or as many as they can get). With the merc mechanic atm the merc pool is very limited for Dojo, i propose that the 1 clan, 1 side rule be lifted (we can trial it).

Obviously players will need to be drafted before-hand so no one is privy to any of the opposing sides secrets/training sessions etc.

I have not talked to Matt about this yet, so this is my formal submission, technicaly as mercs, we have no stake in the battle. At the moment we have quite a few players in the Rawr/Meow group, if Dojo are short on players, then Rawr/Meow members who are not already playing for Kos should have a chance to participate if they want to. Obviously Dojo will only extend the invitation to those they trust etc (though why anyone would spy/cheat is beyond me). Since Dojo will be taking individual players Rawr(as a clan) will not be responsible for them e.g if they dont listen to directions or are noob, it is up to Dojo to discipline/kick them.

The end result is more people who want to play get to play, and Rawr/Meow members who havn't gotten a chance to participate in clan matches get to, it'll be good experience for them and also fun (which is what this is all about).

The only requirement i have for Dojo is DONT POACH OUR PLAYERS! i dont wanna find out RDP and his Haxbow changing sides on me.

Obviously this is just a suggestion and its up to Lazlo and the Clan leaders to think it over. The Warband community is pretty small, so lets encourage participation and sportsmanship aye guys?

Oh and @ MATT, i did not know that Rawr members had to ask permission to "Merc" ourselves out. I dont agree with this requirement since we're playing as individuals rather than representing Rawr but i respect your decision as clan leader and will follow them. This will probly be the last time we're mercs anyway since we're getting a hex!

peace out

I agree with this...

Ultimately we want to have a big game, politics etc. aside.

Of course it is up to Laszlo to revoke this rule, but I think it's a great idea.
It doesn't make much sense anyway - Rawr could always split into two seperate clans for the duration of the battle then merge together again to get around it, but that's just needless effort.

Obviously it also depends on whether Dojo wants Rawr players or not, but I hope they do.

Well, now that Rawr is a Kingdom and have not engaged in any diplomacy (i.e. allying with anyone), technically they can't participate in the battle at all!

If we want to split Rawr up amongst the two teams for the sunday battle to get the largest battle possible, then that to me sounds like a good idea.

Let's open the floor to objections/discussion just briefly before I make it official though.

*edit* the legal way to do this is:

1. Rawr enters into a temporary alliance with KoS before sunday and sends us all their troops.

2. Meow enters the campaign as a mercenary clan, and piles onto Dojo

3. After the battle, Rawr leaves the alliance, Meow submits to Rawr as a vassal state.

EDIT! LOL I did not realise that RAWR had already been granted the HEX, totally my bad. The suggestion still stands though, a 20v20 will be the biggest battle to date so we should try and get as many ppl in as possible right?

Well at this point in time it looks like Matt, Hyperr and myself are playinf for Kos.

If Lazlo and Matt allow it, it'll be up to you guys to ask indivual rawr/meow members if they want to play. Ill be more than happy to pass the word along and ask if any of them want to participate and get back to you but at the end of the day its a "contract" between Dojo and the player not with Rawr, if they dont show up or they dont want to play for you well thats not rawrs problem.

So, posting my first comment in reply to what someone has said referring to me, is trolling. Thanks I did not know that.
Anyways. Apologies for this getting in the way of the clan discussion, but I felt a need to reply to Sushiboys prepubscent stupidity.

Lol yeah all good man I only just updated it then . But yeah it doesn't change anything too much.

SORRY TO HIJACK YOUR THREAD LASZLO, BUT THIS NEEDS SAYING.

This thread is for the discussion of the Oceanic Campaign.
If you wish to discuss anything else about playing on the Oceania servers please head to the following topic set up by UberWiggett...

Or as Sushiman has said, go to the GoN forums for any appeals you may have.

Cheers,

Bogan.

If you want to make a rule like that you gotta do it in a new attack, not spring it on us weeks after the battle has been agreed upon.

Not to mention KoS does not have 20 members.

Yeah but the KoS kingdom has 26 players compared to Dojo's 25 so it could work. But yeah banning allies, whilst totally legal, should really be done when agreeing to the battle much earlier on....

2 points,
1- Our new Hex
Since our new hex is our capital, does it convert to a castle or will you wait till either we get more land or we get eliminated?
2- Do we(Rawr) have to quickly ally kos and splh right now to participate in the battle, i know we never had a formal alliance but it is fairly obvious which side we are on at the moment.

Look, we as dojo, just want to have a battle against KoS. I know i cant make it on sunday, and our forums have died in the last few weeks, things are a bit **** for us atm. The whole purpose of this campaign is to have battles against each other, not to be pricks to each other. So can we not just say "ok dojo can only make about 14 players possibly, we will just see how many they have on the day and match it".

If you guys dont want to play thats fine, but we will play against you, hopefully 20 v 20, with however many dojo we can muster. If no allies means you cant make the 20, thats fine, we can readjust to however many we can each make. We arent really interested in fighting rawr/KoS/Splh/papa (as he usually does most of the work for you anyway). You can use AoS as they are basically you guys anyway, just wanting to exert a superiority complex over new players, but we count them as KoS.

You dont have to battle us on sunday, but that is the point of all this, so please no more stuffing around with "we organised this" and "we are dicks" that. Consider our massively raped Forums situation, our whole clan is in dissarray atm.

I dont see what the problem is, lets have a nice However many we can each muster, KoS vs Dojo! come on guys, a battle of rivals, lets actually have some fun aye?

(woot first post, some of our members have been getting frustrated at this forum so they asked me to make an account)

The problem here is that we don't like asking people to play for us and making sure they confirm that they can arrive weeks before the actual battle, only to then have to tell them mere days before that we've changed our minds and they're out.

And I do not understand how Dojo can make 20 players if it's only Dojo, but can't make 20 if they're allowed to bring others?

Calis has volunteered some Rawr men if you can't muster the numbers.

Personally I would love a pure KoS/Dojo battle, but make it the next one aye?
That way we can agree on the rules and numbers right from the start instead of all this postponing and rule-changing weeks after the battle was supposed to have taken place to begin with.
Just get it done and move on.

EDIT: If it makes you feel better I don't think papa is playing.

Im sure they can live with sitting this one out. And either way we probably cant make 20. For us to grab a bunch of randoms at the last minute who we never play with will just add more organisational chaos to our already thrown about state. Not to mention that we dont want to fight with Rawr, or any mercs, we just want to fight as dojo vs KoS. You guys have the numbers to make 20 anyway (like we do theoretically) allies and mercs (unless stated for some big ally vs ally battle) i assumed would only be used to fill in numbers. You seem to have gone out of your way to plan a battle mixing clans.

Anyway this up comming battle, this sunday, no allies or mercs, and we can try and make 20 each, but as we said, not sure how we will do, probably somewhere closer to 14-15 is what we can actually muster given our current state. Didnt ask for our forums to be hacked. And hell, if we lower the numbers, you guys dont need your allies. If you really want we can just fully lower it to 15 v 15, and see how we go.

Or if your super desperate to keep everything the way it is, push it back a few more weeks so you have time to adjust to playing with only your clan (which really shouldnt be that hard an adjustment, as opposed to adding a whole bunch of players to your team you have never worked with before), but we actually want to play.
