The problem with the Khergits isn't that they're ugly, they're actively unfun to play against. Horse archery is as valid as any other combat style, but then it tends to provoke comments like this:

I'm usually pretty much completely neutral in situations like this, but:
KoS has been sportsmanlike throughout all the clan matches we've played. We've said GG, and had no BS remarks in the chat after.

The provocation towards KoS. This is what you call "un-sportsmanship". As you can also see in the match last night, the entire time there was crying and complaining throughout the match. You didn't want to change your tactics at all, a/o try to win after you lost the first 2 rounds. This is so low, that I can't even scrape the bottom, because my hand can't reach.
After the match, there was all kind of anti-KoS text, basically claiming that they were smashed completely. Before the KoS vs Dojo match on the same map, Dojo was claiming that it was completely skill, and nothing to do with the factions. Again, we said GG, and didn't post crying about the fact that we lost a hex that will probably not mean anything.
If you look at things after WE won on Port Assault, there is absolutely nothing relating to provocating Dojo. As soon as the match ended, we agreed with the crying Dojo that Nords should be removed. We didn't say "NOOBS GOT PWNED" and bull crap like that.
FOR THIS MATCH, WE EVEN GAVE YOU A CHANCE TO CHANGE YOUR STRATEGIES FOR THE SECOND MATCH! WE COULD'VE EASILY SAID NO. You really like twisting people's tongues.
The apparant Double-Standards. Yes, I saw Azraine post a few DS rage comments in chat last night in the match.
You're calling us out on what: Camping 2~ rounds out of 13~ Dojo camping rounds, Going Khergit horsemen when we could've gone Swadian/Vaegir and done the same tactics and still most likely won, as it was on a plains map, which is what KoS was best at. (COME ON, YOU SAW CAV FACTION/PLAYING ONLY CAV COMING, YOU'RE JUST PLAYING STUPID...) , Not telling you the faction before the match, and Exploiting game mechanics, when you were camping the edge of the map.
A. We gave you a whole hour before the match to strategise against Khergits, although any common sense to KoS would've pointed towards a cav/mostly-cav tactic. You told us seconds before the match on port assault started which faction you wanted. AFAIK I remember ACC1, the admin, putting caps into chat to try and get your attention. You appeared to have died.
B. We agreed with you that Khergit should be removed, and we didn't go "PRO SKILL NOOBS" and crap like that. Again, you twisted our tongues.
Grow up, and face the fact that crying won't make your mums come to our houses to tell us off for playing by the rules.
Doomicus: Stop the double-standards that you accuse everyone else of.

But on a serious note, everyone needs to chill out, i know nothing i post will make a difference cause this is a forum and forums are for raging but..
1. Its a game, Dojo you guys got beat, you got beat by khergites, yeah it sucks balls cause khergites are gay to the max but at the end of the day there arent any rules against choosing them (there should be though).
2. A good team of swadians can beat khergites, greater lances ftw. But Kos knew that Dojo + Keen = infantry centric, Kos on the other hand is cav-centric. They chose to play to thier advantage and exploit your weakness. As far as im aware this is completely legitimate. Open plains is a cav map, people are gonna go cav, you should have gone cav, but you didnt, dont qq about it.
3. "GG", this is not a smug comment, its an internationaly recognised phrase which players say after a game (good or not). Lol anyone whos played Dota or CS will know that everyone says gg after the match, even if you got wtf-face-pwnd and wanna rip out thier haxor testicles. GG is just GG its a tradition, dont read into it.
4. I think there is alot of tension between some key members of Kos and Dojo, now this isnt exactly a bad thing as it means theres a good rivarly going on, making matches more fun. (who doesnt love stabbing thier arch nemesis in the face) But when this animosity degrades down to childish name calling and general troll/Akkadin/Blink-like behaviour it harms the whole community. Now there are culprits on both sides of the fence here *cough*doom*cough*ACC*cough* etc but im not the type to point fingers
. Its pretty clear you guys dont like each other for what-ever reason, but keep that personal **** to yourselves, or fkn set up your own forum thread and throw insults at one another, we dont want to clutter up the official oceanic campaign thread with that crap.
5. Now im pretty nuetral, and like to think i have some level of respect, maybe not for my skills in-game but for being an all round nice kinda guy(at least in game). (if you think differently then fk off, your just jealous im so awesome). Choosing Khergites was a dog act, no one likes playing against them and i think they should be removed from MP, that being said Dojo+keen, sure khergites are op on plains but you guys are organised and have good communication you could have come up with some kind of strategy to counter them.
Personally i hate horses, and anyone who plays cav is gay, like rainbow suprise butt sex kinda gay but this is "mount" and blade, not "dismount" and blade so people are gonna be on horses. All this talk of no skill yadda yadda is bull, i am **** on a horse, i couldnt lance the side of a barn so the Kos fellas must be pretty good if they beat you.

I can see the fault in our actions all along, If only I didn't spend the 5 minutes notice I was going to play as a reserve talking about possible tactics and instead googling MP hacks we could have won!!
Won't make the same mistake again.
Laszlo says nobody knew that nords would smash on port assult. That is wrong. I stated here before the match there was a huge imbalance and knew it wasn't going to be fun. Thorn knew also.

@ grunt i wasnt in the game so my bad, but if you went all cav as well and they beat you then it just comes down to the fact that Kos was better than you on horses? I think thats a pretty fair call since i never see Keen players on horses and rarely see Dojo players on horses either. (not saying your not good, you could be great cavalry but you guys never play them in the public servers so you'd have less practice)

Just back on the main topic, I still say:
1. KoS decision to use Khergits wasn't malicious. I've explained why in previous posts and no one has made a reasonable objection to it.
2. KoS decision to use Khergits was no worse than other factions' decisions to use Nords on Port Assault. Personally I don't think either decisions were bad at all, I never once complained to Dojo for choosing Nords and I wouldn't have complained had they chosen Khergits.
3. Dojo/KEEN only disagree so strongly with 2. because they are infantry-focused clans, and suffering post-match rage. Oh, and when Nords dominate it's in a manly shield-smashing way, but when Khergits dominate it's in a frustrating and elusive way. That's the mental side of it which erodes objectivity.
I will also add the following: when KoS made the decision to use Khergits I said to KoS over comms: "If this turns out to be a slaughter and Dojo and KEEN rage I'm most likely going to ban Khergs/Nords" to which people replied along the lines of "Fair enough". We weren't all thinking "We're gonna pwn these guys but let's wait till this battle is over THEN ban Khergits!"
The fact is we hadn't brought in a concrete ban on Khergits because they were untested. Everyone had suspicions that they would dominate on open plains but they were 100% untested in a competitive clan match. A few of us thought defenders could just reroll the map till they got some hills and then Khergs would be floundering around on inclines getting shot to pieces.

I believe it was the Port Assault when KoS attacked Dojo. Dojo waited until everyone was in the server and said 'oh by the way we are choosing Rhodoks' literally 5 seconds before the first round started.
I wasn't there myself but that's what my clanmates are saying. And it's because of this incident that KoS in general are baffled at Doomicus's complaints at KoS withholding faction selection. *edit* oh and 'withholding' isn't even the right word, we posted our selection as soon as we decided on it.

The majority of posts in this thread is someone yelling at someone else. this thread is for the campaign, to declare attacks and other stuff concerning the campaign not to see WHO can twist words and yell the loudest.
(laz you need to attach penalties for poor sportsmanship. with in the campaign rules because this is overly sad.)
