Ah well, what can you do? Eventually this guy will come on at the same time as me and then hopefully it'll all be sorted.
 
Do people really think Blink is Akkadian?

This never even occurred to me. They seem nothing alike.

While Akkadian is annoying in a "holier-than-thou", "I like to brag about my IQ" sort of way, Blink is more of an immature prat.

Yeah well once they get a hex they're technically a kingdom. So if I don't grant them a castle they could only sit there with their 1 hex twiddling their thumbs.

If they get a hex I'll whack a stronhold icon on it, make it worth 6 points, make it count as a castle. But I won't change the hex. That way they have a sort of make**** foothold-stronghold which reverts back to what it was before if it gets destroyed
 
Perhaps you could emulate single player Warband, in that you need a 'right to rule' or something, not sure how it would work, but it would help. You could have rebel kingdoms, and if deemed not worthy, then the other kingdoms would pounce on them. Also something for people not in the campaign, how about brigands? If people who aren't in clans want to get in on the action, how about getting groups of players into brigand groups where they stand between hexes, and when one kingdom marches on another, they first have to fight the brigands to get through. Again, just an idea, probably stupid but it's something to spice it up. edit: plus more people will get involved, without having to be mercenaries.

I'm not too familiar with right to rule, I haven't played singleplayer for a while so you'd have to suggest how the rules would be affected.

As for brigands, after opening up f**ktonnes of hexes to open attack from any old bunch of randoms, I don't think there's any real remaining barrier to players getting involved now.

So if a clan took over an open plains to start their kingdom, their castle would effectively be a field?

That'd be awesome.

If it was a good map you could even lob one on each border as an "outpost" sort of thing.
 
When you think about most of the settlement Hexes are pretty much castles already. Port Assault and Village are both fortified towns and Field by a River has a castle just sitting there on the side lines.

I've noticed a lot of players with racist names on lately. Is there guide lines as to what exactly crosses the line when it comes to that?

"Using names that others may find offensive"
and
"racism"
are both listed as no-nos.
 
Its usually up to the discretion of the admin, but clearly racist names and such are a no no.
