Bad Luck SPL, and Gratz to Dojo.

Can't wait for our open plains match next week. Should be fun. Just as a side Doom, when do you want to play the match next week?

Not certain yet mate.

I just updated our generals in the hope spree or spirit may be able to organise something next week, but personally I will be too busy too.

Sunday week I could definitely do, but that's a long way away, so it's up to you.

Number wise for the battle, how much were you thinking? I would love to get as many active dojo as I can in a fight (approx 15) would be good fun. Even so, we could make it this HUGE mega big match we wanted, that sunday isn't actually going to be. We could get Dojo + KEEN vs say 18 of you lot. I think that would be intense and worthy of a long build-up.

Also, when we do the battle, we should do a counterattack straight away like we did with SPLH just then. It's much better and if the battle goes fast (sub 15 minutes) then we have another one straight after.

I think Moss will agree that it worked really well. We were a bit confused on the map and factions but that was just a misunderstanding in the beginning.

All but two or three of us were on Rawrs teamspeak server.

Brief recap of the matches:

-First Match-
Map: Random Plains
SPLH: Rhodoks
Dojo: Swadia
Dojo team-worked the ever loving crap out of us. They played an all crossbow team, with one or two horseman each round. They kept themselves spread out and as soon as you hit melee you'd get shot in the back by three other guys. Around a solid half of their kills were by crossbow firing into the backs and flanks of melees. Incredibly well organised and played, they took advantage of the open map and used it flawlessly.

-Second Match-
Map: Ruins
SPLH: Rhodoks
Dojo: Sarranids
Again the kicker was team work. We did better on a less open map, so weren't quite so humiliatingly schooled, but we still got split up, shot up and hacked up. The exception was a single round where we played defensively, stuck together, refused to get drawn into the open, then hit them with a mass infantry charge, winning without a single casualty. There's probably an important lesson to be learnt there for us.

In short, in my opinion where we fell down was in playing the game like it was a pub match, SPLH has never fought as a team before and it showed. We held our own in melee and ranged as individual players, but we didn't take advantage of the greater communication to stay coordinated. In short it was a learning experience. Which is why I guess they call it being "Schooled".

Well played, it was a fun war. When the master of the field came out we thought we had the round, but you guys just slaughtered us.

Gratz Dojo.

At least you won one round SPL. ANd from the looks of the scoreboard you didn't do too bad in the second match at all.

Playing on open plains is really different from your average pub match. Takes a totally different mindset.

Great video. Glad you made one!

Didn't get much of the first battle because I forgot. The second battle I died so often so I had ample time to remember.

I wish I got that bit where you guys handed us a round when 5 of you pretty much fell to Azraine by FF.

Alright, cool.  We may actually have 15, but I'm not entirely sure.  You guys able to get another guy?

I think we'd be able to get another fifteen if you asked for it, pretty much everyone wants a piece of the action.

15 as opposed to 14, comrade.
