Sorry if this is inappropriate, but I'd like to make a suggestion for this: Firstly, be neat to have some tactical NPC positioning, where your NPCs can't move too far, so placement would be pointful. Could also have a gold system for how many NPCs you can upkeep, based on your settlements and land. Could lead to clans being forced to ally against a more powerful clan, when they have a lot of NPCs helping the players.
If the gold for each team was modifiable somehow, that'd also lead to neat stuff with spending extra money on a certain attack.
Just a couple of ideas on the spare of the moment. These might be terrible for whichever combination of reasons, but I thought I'd mention them anyway. Sorry 'bout that. Hoping to join the clan wars soon.
