Like Rawr assuming Dojo tried to pull a fast one with the timer, or Dojo assuming Rawr didn't have good reason to leave the game (which they clearly did with the information they had). a) Join one of the participating clans
b) start/join another clan and enter the campaign with it
c) become a mercenary, that any clan can use in a battle.

"C" takes the least amount of effort, but you're unlikely to be chosen for a battle unless you can prove that you're a good player and develop good relations with some clan members. Getting on a mumble server will help a lot with this.

So far we've played them all on medium.

Don't think there's anything in the rules to stop you playing on large if you want though.

Increase the time limit to huge as you all run round trying to find eachother..
