forget drawing realistic comparisons

i agree with the draw thing of course, but that doesn't nullify the stupidity of motf

if only it could come down to the number of players on a team dead to decide the victor after the time is up, even that would be better than a draw
Definitely should be something like that, it's just stupid when the team kicks another teams ass and they draw it by running, and no one deny that we all do it.

Battle can be modified so a round won't end as long as one person is left alive on a team. This would stop draws by forcing MOTF if someone is hiding.

That would work. I would also like to introduce a sort of code of conduct for these matches, mainly to do with the issue of people running away forcing a draw.

Now I dont generally like that tactic but i have supported rawr's decision to use it on occassions because people have used it against us and i aint against getting down in the mud with everyone else. Now before people start saying "but they did it first etc etc", thats not the point, every clan has used that tactic at some time no point casting blame. We should all agree to not do it though as its silly and wastes time.

KoS and Dojo did that so much on a random plains match a few months back, was infuriating for both sides. Not what the game is about!

We do agree that its silly and a waste of time im sure. We experienced it when dojo did it once, and natually we got pissed off and did it back. I dont think theres a way to stop it though, not much point trying it. example, one guy is left on team A, team B is charging him and there is 10 seconds left till the game ends. Team A's one member might back pedal for a few seconds either to intentionally waste time or because its what he does when he fights. then, Both teams claim it was or was not deliberate etc, This would  cause chaos and in my opinion not worth it. Im open to suggestions though

increasing the round timers and removing motf would solve nearly all issues here

whilst waiting for kos to respond to my attack, i've written three novels and am about to launch old mate down below

nobody likes losing

forcing a draw is just a tactic, and it is no different to camping rooftops or my personal favourite, camping underwater and ninjaing everyone with crossbows. as for forcing a draw being silly and waste of time, deal with it. no need to leave just because a clan wanted a draw instead of losing. isnt that what scrims are about? trying to win? also with scrims, do you gents ever scrim at all? do you have scrims outside of this campaign? im sure if you scrimmed more there would be more clans and more people playing.
hails idiot

you are an idiot

Well it would be up to discretion, if theres 1 guy left and 10 guys are running at him, well he is going to lose. He should just accept it (unless he's me of course cause i can take on any number of people cause im awesome).

If its say 3v1 well he still has a chance and he should do whatever he can to win it. Backing up and fighting in a doorway/ladder to restrict the number of ppl who can attk you is also a very valid tactic. What i hate seeing is some guy on a horse running off into the sunset.

Backing away is not the same as running away. I back up when i fight but if ppl are chasing you they will catch up (as wlaking backwards is slower than running forward) and you'll have to fight. Running away is when your back is turned and your just heading for the hills, ppl cannot catch up to you.

Even if there are arguements over it, there are heaps of arguments now when it happens so the situation can only get better.

Apparently there is alot of hate flying around atm over what happend, to those dishing it out get over it, acting like a **** while playing an online game doesnt prove your better than anyone, all it does is drive ppl away from the game.

To those on the recieving end, really.... its the internet, this is the **** that happens, people are going to troll you regardless. Just ignore them or if you enjoy a heated exchange get stuck into them. Its just text, sure its distracting but it doesnt mean anything, some guy sitting in front of his computer on a friday night thinks your a *****, who cares. I am civil when i play games because it takes less energy than being a troll, how the fk can anyone enjoy playing a game while they're typing 1/2 the time, how much gratification can you get from giving yourself a pat on the back for bagging someone? out honestly?

TBH calis, only i can verse and win against 10 people.

Having seen a few games turn into swearing contests, I want to suggest a 0 tolerance approach to swearing in the campaign battle servers (regardless on who is hosting).
If you swear you get kicked and aren't allowed to compete in the remaining rounds.

It's unfortunate but people get worked up and then mouth off and soon it becomes a poo slinging competition.

lets analyse this and see whats actually happening. hes riding off into the sunset so he can get a draw and not lose a point for his clan, giving the clan another chance to score. ask yourself, why are you mad at this? the first thing that comes to mind is "because its slowing down the game". thats true, it does slow down the game, it makes you killing him take longer. hang on, isnt that whats making you mad? the fact that you wont be able to kill him? thats really all thats wrong; youre just mad because you cant kill him. know WHY youre mad before you start venting your anger at the other clan. none of you did. its a legitimate tactic. maybe focus your strategy on not letting them escape, mmmmmh?

There are many reasons why in my opinion it should not be done, at the top of my head:

1. Makes the game less fun
2. In a real battle it would be considered a retreat and therefore a loss
3. It drags the game out heaps
4. It robs the (in my view) legitimate winner of the round of a win
5. It increases resentment between the clans, provoking more spiteful tactics such as these, and thus ruining the game for everyone

Also, pretty hard to make sure they "don't escape" if you're the defender.

If I could, I'd ban you for this suggestion.
