The SPL match started at about 15-20 past 8:00 and went smoothly. This isn't life or death guys. What's so wrong with joining late anyway...
Kinda what I said in their mumble when I tried to work out a match tonight anyway.

I offered to have a smaller match with the players they still had (some of dojo had already left still would have been 12/13 players per side). They refused. Nothing I can do about that.

In the end I was one still willing to play, but I can understand why others were not.

We joined the server on time and began the process of finalising the team, which is a task in itself as some people are told they cannot play etc.
We have been in the server for 15 minutes wasting time, waiting for KoS to join.
Time wears on and some people are becoming restless. We see Bobstar join for a second then leave. No one from KoS has deemed it necessary to tell us what is going on.
Eventually we find KoS. It turns out that they are waiting for ACC1. Thanks for taking the courtesy to come and tell us.
People have commitments to make and did not factor in an hours wasted time. Some people need to sleep soon as they have an early start the next day.
Finally ACC1 arrives and we still have a full team to play.
Certain KoS members start giving Doomicus **** about the match start time.
We leave.

If it wasn't for those certain members we would have had a 15 vs 15 match last night despite the earlier discourtesies from KoS.

If you are running late for a match, or anything in general, the polite thing to do is to tell the people who are waiting for you. This one courtesy would have avoided the ensuing problems.

On the subject of sieges.....the 30 second spawn time is not fair.

Although Rawr had to win 5 rounds while SPLH had to win 3 rounds, 30s spawn doesn’t give the defender a good enough chance to win each individual round. Castle is meant to be the strongest hex to defend but is probably one of the easier ones to attack.

Assuming that you can’t change the spawn time then I would suggest an player number modifier based on the ratio of agreed spawn / actual spawn time.

So if the leaders agree that a 3s / 15s spawn time is fair BUT the actual spawn time is 3s / 30s then the defenders should have a 2/1 people advantage. If the leaders agree that a 3s / 20s spawn time is fair then the defenders get a 3/2 advantage (etc.)

Good to hear NN.

I have done the maths and my upload speed can handle 64 players in aces.
And GON Isn't going to be as generous as me in setting upload speed.

You need 0.59 mbps to handle 64 players and a quad core cpu.

I can pretty much say without a shadow of a doubt its my router i've searched goggle and turns out im not the only one with this issue, with this router.

id be up for that, matt said it would be nice, but I cant speak for all the other players.

Some players would want to leave after the campaign match but we could fill those slots with others surely

Phallas by my calculations you need at least 3.5Mbit upload to host 64 people successfully. Don't forget horses and bots are counted as people too, by the game. For example the Dojo server has a 10Mbit upload allowance, to adequately cover 64 people.

We had a team ready to play from 6:30pm to 7pm I went and was back and ready again from 7:30pm

No one from dojo deemed necessary to tell us what was going on, despite doomicus joining GON mumble at 7:03pm and not joining channel to talk to our whole clan waiting to play. After 20 seconds in mumble he left. If he wanted the match to play out I think he would have tried a little harder then joining and leaving in 20 seconds without joining a channel or msging anyone.
Eventually we find KoS. It turns out that they are waiting for ACC1. Thanks for taking the courtesy to come and tell us.
I was waiting for hours and because no one from ur team contacted us I went and got a drink and came back in 15min to a bunch of rage quitters and certain players having a whine when we had the players then and there to play but you guys were not willing to play.
People have commitments to make and did not factor in an hours wasted time. Some people need to sleep soon as they have an early start the next day.
I logged in server at 7:30pm hardly an hour wasted. No one said it was going to START at 7pm the thread said the war would be around 7pm onwards. Nothing was happening at 7:05pm when doom left mumble, so I figure he wasnt ready or he would of joined channel and told us. So I went for 15mins.
Finally ACC1 arrives and we still have a full team to play.

You say you were waiting for us, we were waiting for you. from 6:30pm.

A very one sided post as usual so I added some comments.

As you can see, you said we were not ready, we can say you were not ready.

Its very easy pointing fingers. But what I dont understand is why if you guys were so desperate to start at exactly 7pm why you left it so late to tell us this and why you didnt msg as many of us as you could to let us all know to make sure we were there on the dot.

Next time when a war is going to take place.

Start time must be set in concrete and not changed once its been set.

Factions should be put in well before and not changed.

And on the night, I suggest contacting the other team to notify them you are ready 10min prior to start time.

We have ALOT of players who use GoN mumble and its very easy to find, click connect, click on Games On Net server and look at the warband channel. We are all always in there.

Good hard battle with keen and dojo. 6-0

Was interesting fighting against all the best players of dojo and keen at once

Even more fun was the scrim we had after, it was less important but letting us win that scrim made me feel better about our campaign loss haha

Looking forward to fighting keen again

yeah, you guys did well

the scrim was a bit questionable

"EVERYBODY RUN IN, SOME GO NAKED" was called every round
