The Oceanic 7 vs 7 Warband ladder; the ladder exists to make the game more balanced and competitive, it currently consists of a mixture of a lot of CS 1.6 and DoD 1.3 rules, and some that I've made myself. The rules in place are based on my/my friends' experiences in "clan" matches in Warband, and what I thought was necessary to make this game playable on a more competitive, cohesive small-scale.
The ladder will be commencing on Sunday, the 25th of July, and will last for an estimated two months. This is your last week to join a team, or create your own. You will not be able to enter a team until the next ladder commences, some time later this year, unless you register before the 25th of July.
All participating clans should familiarise themselves with the rules now.

I'd like to stress that if you're currently not formally in a clan, but are interested in joining this ladder, you should form some sort of clan/team with a couple of other guys, just for this. There's a public Mumble server for all of your communication needs inside matches.
Feel free to post here if you have any suggestions.

Now you must create an account by clicking ladder, and then join.

To invite members into your clan, click "Members" in the top navigation menu. Find their name and hit invite on their profile.

Now make your way back to the ladder page, and click unranked (this only applies until you have won a match).

Click the clan's name that you would like to verse.

Hit challenge on their profile and follow the prompts.

The Rules:
The Game Rules:
• Battle mode.
• 7 players on each team.
• Each team plays a different faction. Rhodok, Sarranid, Swadia and Vaegir only.
• Two halves consisting of 7 wins, once a team reaches 9 wins, they win the match. Teams will switch spawns and factions after one team reaches 7 wins.
This means that you will initially play as your faction choice, and then you will switch to the other team's faction choice after 7 rounds.
a. If both teams reach 7 wins, the match will be a draw.
b. If one team wins 7 rounds initially, and then wins 2 rounds in the second half, they win the match.
c. Draws will not happen in the finals, overtime will be employed, meaning that each team will switch back to its initial faction choice for a first to 3 shoot-out.
• Ruins only (until custom maps are finished).
• Master of the Field flags have been removed from all maps.
• Intentionally running away to draw the match is an offense which will have you disqualified from the match.
Whether it was intentional or not is to be decided by the referee.
• Unlimited infantry allowed per team.
• The following weapons are banned:
-Rhodok stun hammers (not including Spiked Staff).
-Rhodok pike (not Ashwood, the 245 one).
-Swadian Great Lance.
• Two cavalry allowed per team.
• Two archers/crossbowmen allowed per team (meaning two bows or crossbows -- you can't buy additional bows/xbows to hand out to team members, you can only have one).
• Friendly fire will be on for both melee and ranged at 100% with no reflective damage.
• Rounds will last for 10 minutes.
• Spectator settings locked to team member's view.
• Combat speed medium.
• Default gold gain (1000 starting gold, 500 round end gold, 100% kill gold)
• A screenshot of each half must be taken and sent to me after the match.
The Ladder Rules:
• The winning clan gains one point in their "wins" and the losing clan gains one point in their "losses". If the match is a draw, no points are gained or lost by either team.
• The ladder is based on ratio, not on total matches played.
• Clans must challenge one another, the clan that is challenged gets to specify a time. Once both clans agree on the time, follow the guide lines in the template above. You must play the match within one week of sending the challenge.
• The defending clan chooses their own spawn, the map, and the faction.
• Matches must be booked with at the very least, one day's notice, giving me time to find a server, and a referee.
• It is mandatory that you show up to a match, postponing is not allowed (unless hindered by actual game problems).
Once a time is set, it is set in stone.
You will forfeit unless you have a total of 4 players to play the match.
• You may deny a total of one match, before you are forced to play the next.
• Only listed clan members can play. Each clan leader must message me with details (new members etc) to be added to the list. You may substitute players at half time, not during the halves.
• The ladder will last for a total of 8 weeks, after which, the top 4 teams (subject to change, depending on interest) will play against one another in "semi-final" type matches. The team ranked 1st will play against 3rd, and 2nd against 4th.
• You must play a total of 8 matches to qualify for the finals.
• There must be a 3 match interval of versing 3 different clans before being able to verse the same clan again.
eg. Rawr cannot challenge KEEN for a second time until they have fought 3 other clans. This rule is in place to avoid ladder cheating, and stagnation.
• Each match will have one referee, to ensure that each team abides by the rules.
• The AUS and KEEN servers are the only servers that official matches will be played on, at this stage.
• A player may only switch clans once during the the ladder, meaning that if you hop from one clan to another, you're forced to play in that clan, or, alternatively, leave the ladder.
• You cannot challenge a clan rated more than 2 positions below you. Clan ranked 2 cannot challenge clan ranked 5. However, clan ranked 5 can challenge clan ranked 2. At this stage, you do not gain anything extra for beating a clan much higher ranked than you. Not applicable yet.
• The victor of the season receives nothing more than a swift kick in the bollocks.
• Battle mode.

Rule Updates & Changes:
Various rule updates:
-Limitations of the amount of bows purchasable by the team set to 2 per team, meaning that you can't buy additional bows for your team members.
-Archer limit decreased to 2.
-Cavalry limit increased to 2.
-Strict MOTF and intentional round drawing rules have been implemented. This is not ideal, but will serve as a temporary solution.
-Round time increased to 8 minutes.•
