Speaking of which, what are some good mods for Oblivion and Morrowind? Though, my computer can't run Oblivion, so that would have to wait a couple of months anyways.

Best ask that at the official forums.

I would have already, but their forums, at least for me, run incredibly slowly. I can't scroll up or down to read things since it freezes up and lags a ton. Not to mention the long loading times for the threads themselves.

Can I be a beta tester?

I asked on the front page and no reply came.

That video makes this look awesome.

That's irrelevant, the mods are great, but Oblivion is not. You can put the two together, but it's no longer the original game we're referring to. Lets keep those logically separate.

Fair enough, then I will say from now on that the Oblivion engine is great! I agree that vanilla Oblivion is pretty lame.

Visit http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/top/ for the top 100 most popular mods. Don't forget to check out the Files of the Months, many cool ones there as well.

Yeah you can. But there is no real beta testing going on at the moment, just by me. Once beta testing begins, I will be sure to send you and Nemesis a PM.

Oh yes, people did for free what the people who were paid millions could not.

Thanks. Ill go fix my oblivion by killing it with fire deleting whatever the hell is wrong with it.

Also, this should be mod compatible, right?

Keyblades+Oblivion+M&B Combat= :3

The one I was using, yea.

Just put the Keyblades and a diary that either flat out told you the locations, or a riddle for the more powerful ones.

That video made me think of something, the impact sounds are way too squishy. Hitting someone wearing that much armour won't sound like bursting a blood bubble. Also, it's an improvement, but it's got a long way to go.

I'm with you there, they are horrible. I was thinking of asking the author of one of the sound replacer mods here to see if I would get permission to use some of his sounds. Or I'll just ask our audio team to make new ones...

Yeah we got a long way to go, but that's the fun of it!

Also, I believe that with vanilla combat AI that they would side-step and back-step more often. In this video they only do it once or twice. If you keep them fighting, but side/back-step more, that will help mask the clunky animation transition.

You are right about that. I minimized the amount of "dodges" as they are called for the movie, because they kept running all over place, and I couldn't film them from the right angle and distance. And since this uses collision detection, I was also often in the crossfire and got hit, because they were also my character's enemies.

So yeah, side and back stepping is in, I just disabled it temporarily.

Looks promising. Will the amount of damage you can take be like Mount & Blade, or will it still take a couple dozen strikes to bring someone down?

I sadly don't think he can do that, Toffey. It sounds like It's really hard to code if it is even possible.

Upping the weapon damage / lowering NPC health is probably one of the easiests things to do.
