Who would you question whether he is in fact a natural-born U.S. citizen?

Last I checked, Hawaii is a U.S. territory state.

Hey dummy, a state is U.S. territory. There is a difference between *a* U.S. territory and simple U.S. territory. The first is a specific type of political unit in the U.S., the second is simply any land which is controlled by the U.S. government (which obviously includes all land in the continental U.S. + Alaska + Hawaii, as well as other locations around the world).

Does it really matter? If you're born in US territory, you're a natural born citizen. For instance, I have a friend from Guam, he's a natural born citizen. Similarly, I have another friend from Saipan who is a natural born citizen as well. Guam in this case is an unincorporated territory, and Saipan is a commonwealth even. If the US government has claimed it as territory and you are born there, you're a citizen. It doesn't matter if there is a civilian government in place or not.

I was saying that his correction of my statement was completely unnecessary, nothing more.

By charging that Obama was not admitted based on merit, Trump is suggesting that Obama was admitted because he is black.

I'd hope that is not the only conclusion that you can draw from that. If he actually did say that, then sure. But don't be ignorant and cast aspersions on people, if that's not what they are actually implying by their comments.

Trump seems to be hung up on the authenticity of Obama in general. Not just the validity of his birth, but also perhaps to inquire about his connections and affiliations which could have provided an opportunity to advance where others may not.

Theres a whole myriad of conspiracy theories akin to that, which have suggestions such as marxist/socialist movements puppeteering Obama etc. I'm sure if you spent an hour on some sites such as Alex Jones, you might find a more informative formulae outlined.

Trump could have been entertaining such a theory in his commentary.

And then that something about Trump saying that Obama isn't doing his job properly because Obama is too busy playing basketball or something.

When debating amongst others, it's advisable to keep your talking points within the realm of clarity and accuracy... or something

Trump was remarking on a topic that is one of two overly rehashed in the political theatre, which are personal interests and other being personal time. Of course added to this list can be publicly known vices.

X President didn't get this or that done because he was too busy doing Y

1. Bill Clinton didn't act properly to the initial threat of Bin Laden because he was too busy ****ing interns.
2. George W. didn't respond properly to Katrina because he was too busy vacationing.

Trump wasn't casting racial aspersions, he was commenting to the legitimate personal interests of Obama, which many suggest he has spent an inordinate amount of time and authoritive currency (not necessarily money) pursuing, and has been oversaturated in the media.

And if you care to disagree, im might motivate myself to supply the links to the media saturation of him unveiling the "White House Bracket" of his March Madness pics, or the NCAA Basketball game where he was briefly a commentator, or the fact that him getting a shiner when playing a "pickup game" of basketball with his advisors was headline news, and sat on ESPN.com frontpage for two days, or that he flies in current and former players such as Barkley and LeBron for personal games (on tax payer dollars?)... but hopefully you'll spare me the effort and google it yourself.

I've never met a black person who was offended when I called them black, or suggested they were better at  basketball than I.

That's because they are black, and they are better at basketball than you.

Young McCain looks like George Eads.

And what precisely makes him a racist?
"I have a great relationship with the blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the blacks"
Oh, I thought it was because he is one of those who questions Obamas birthplace, and questions how Obama could get into Harvard and stuff because Trump "heard" that Obama had bad grades.

By charging that Obama was not admitted based on merit, Trump is suggesting that Obama was admitted because he is black.

And then that something about Trump saying that Obama isn't doing his job properly because Obama is too busy playing basketball or something.
I never said that I agree with anything of that, I just thought it was because of those things he was called a racist. And the first thing you quoted from me is not something I said, it's a quote. Now, I did not say where the quote came from in my post, but it was from a newspaper article. But I do have to agree with it, Trump was questioning Obama a lot when it came to his education, saying that he had very bad grades and that he was a bad student, and due to his humble beginnings, how could he get into Harvard?

Ahh fair enough then

Well who knows about Trump anyways.

I'm sure Trump can be called alot of things, and rightfully so. Though with what he's said so far, I just dont see the grounds for people to leverage and accusation of racism. It's a aspersion that shouldn't be treated lightly, and it pisses me off to see people just belligerently cast it.

President's have always been involved in sports and similar public events, for those of ignorant of what a 'figurehead' is; it's their job to waste time.

He's not the only one. There are multiple people who have pointed this out.
It certainly pisses on the notion that this document is a single scan of a birth certificate.
