I don't normally find myself on the forums and making a post about this or that, but I feel that this is of some concern on behalf of the regular community.
The level of admin abuse and improper response to ill situations is a cause of concern for the image of NW_Official_NA_1. Accidents are treated as zero tolerance. Common chatter which is miscommunicated is treated as zero tolerance. Noobish (New individuals) activities that frustrate admins are also met as zero tolerance. It's a cause of concern when an admin (Smithy) knowingly abuses a glitch in the game (light cav clipping through a window) to enter a barricaded house just so he can kill folks in the back to pad his stats RATHER than allow the game to flow as normal and as enjoyable as possible; is a cause for concern. And there is no excuse to abuse known glitches in the game just because you can get away with it due to your admin capabilities. Using a horse to stand on a table and clip into the second floor so you can melee people WHILE acting as admin is unacceptable behavior!
Watching you guys slay folks unknowingly because someone wounded your horse 10 seconds into the match is also unacceptable. Enemy fire can do that, and instilling fear on the public at random due to your ignorance is hurting anyone who is trying to enjoy your server. NW_Official_NA_1 is a huge staple name for the NW community and I would love to see the proper care put into place to sustain that environment. I don't care how long you've played MM and "earned your position" or how popular in NW you appear/seem to be or whether you're buddy-buddy with the host of the server; it is unacceptable for this to be expected every time anyone logs into the server. You may make the comment "admin abuse happens all the time, get used to it" and while that is true it doesn't have to happen. Power hungry folks and obsessive individuals should not be put in positions of power and regulation. And if someone is going to call you out on your crap and you punish them by threatening ban or actually ban then you should not be admining! Period! I also feel that addressing this issue publically is necessary in dealing with the unprofessional conduct of this servers choice of admins (Or those admins giving out the admin pass to their buddies).
I am mentioning this because if wasn't for this particular server then I may not even be a part of the NW community. And I have developed some fond memories and some fantastic friendships because of what came after. I also hope that care and consideration is taken into account and these issues are addressed so that our game and community can grow even further.
