NW_Official_EU_1 Timetravelling_Hitler Banned

I was playing on NW_official_EU_1 with the name timetravelling_Hitler. I've already been warned the other day about the name, I then changed it. This day i played again but since i've played on other server which seem to have no problem with my name. I keep switching it when going onto EU 1 to something of their taste and political opinions(so they cant feel offended by an historic name). Although this time i forgot to cahnge and an admin warned me saying this is the last warning since he warned me yesterday - he told me to change it for the last time. So i was just going to say - i'll do it and be back soon. But at the very second i replied i was perm banned(17 october about 16:25). - gmt +1 *I didnt wait long to reply. Only some seconds.

Even if i can't find the rule for not being able to have historical characters names and other servers accept my name, i understand that some people likes to have their hatred get the best of them. Could be good to mention i have never said anything "racial" in the chat or anything like that.

I do understand you do not wish me to have this name but as i said it was a mistake to enter with it and i think i could atleast get 5 seconds of time to reply to his request to change the name before being banned. The admins name was something with "Crack" in it.
One more thing, the name is not serious but still not trolling. Hence the name is Timetravelling_Hitler and not just something like Hitler or Adolf Hitler. Atleast i think that matter, a bit more of a thought behind the name.

Hmmm, I do not think i've been temp banned for racism before. And not for anything else either. I actually behave quite good. And i do not understand how a name actually can be racism - racism seems to have such a loose meaning now a days. As i said i've never said anything racial. Well, someone once said "swedes are best!" and i replied something like "yes! swedes are superior". Somehow you thought swedes (a nationality) is a race and therefore warned me. Swedes are not a race and therefore i never talked about racism. Foolish to make such an assumption. (this also ended up with you slaying me for not agreeing to your view of swedes as a race)
And just because i use a name of a historical person doesn't mean i agree with his/her views. If i would have the name Karl XII it wouldn't mean i agree with everything he did or that i love the horrors of war. Another thing would be if i said i did. Like in a game chat for an example. But i have not.

But this doesnt mean anything - as i said i have agreed to your interpretation of the rules and therefore do not have that name. The major point here is that i joined with the name by mistake and forgot to edit it before joining EU server. And since the admin who banned me said i would get one last chance to change the name for the last time i acctually assumed i would get that chance.

Or perhaps he meant i sohuld leave the exact same second he said it and not 5 seconds after? Sorry for my slow reflexes.

Already using the name Hitler can offend people. You just picked it to provoke and troll. You shouldn't at any point use names like this and I don't believe you that people on other servers were fine with it. Most likely they just didn't see it.

Not really, i had to choose a name. Then why not choose one of the most famous historical characters. Who might be timetravelling. My humour might be a bit weird to you, but hey! We are all different and thats something we should love.
Hmm, didn't notice any people who was not fine with it. People replied to some things i said in chat. So they saw my name, but didn't seem to care since they didn't mention anything about it.
And most historical name can be offensive, Stalin for an example could be very offensive thinking of the warcrimes he comitted like Hitler did. YET, an admin said Stalin would be perfectly fine when i asked. I think this clearly shows it should be about how you act, in chat, and not wat you are names as. For apparently only some horrid dictators are banned, and some are not.

EDIT - AND as i said this got NOTHING to do with it. It's about the fact that i DO agree not to use the name and was given a LAST chance to edit it. I never got that chance and was banned. By God, this was the third post i had to clarify this. Stop making me go into the wrong topic.

Using a name based off a dictator who has massacred thousands of Jews, caused a world war, and created religious controversy all around the world for no reason what so ever but to take over the world in a game that is meant for fun would offend me, why have a name like that? If anything you deserve a lengthy ban.

I dont really need to reply but i banned you and yes i warned you yesterday only a temp ban wich = a warning.
Even when i see you the next day with the same name i didnt really think you took it so serious but i still said change your name.
I waited a good 2 minutes still no reply perma ban hope you learned your lesson and i hope for you you will get unbanned

with other words i warned you twice and gave you more time then 3 seconds if some one else was on this subject you would get perma banned without a warning consider yourself lucky

Lately I have seen a lot of people on a lot of threads saying "don't post unless you are involved" and the like, and usually it's not even needed. Here, there's a lot more tomfoolery than usual, from a lot of people, that don't have anything to do with the ban. I think, in this instance, it's worth saying, "don't post unless you're involved."

Once again I have to make few points clear:
1. Someone's name is never racist. I mean actual name. It doesn't matter, if it is Hitler, Stalin or Santa Claus.

2. Permanent bans without warnings on the basis of name are unacceptable, if the name itself is not racist. The fact, that certain person is racist, doesn't mean that his/her name is racist as well.

3. This wasn't ban without warning though. Yes, you got banned one second after you typed the message, but I don't care about that. You got banned 36 seconds after the warning. That is enough time and that is what I care about. How do they say it? First shoot, then talk. Something like that. Well, in this case first change your name, then call people communist, I guess.

4. Because we don't allow people to use the name Hitler, it doesn't necessarily mean that we are communists. That's just in your twisted and probably pretty closed mind. I personally despise communism and national socialism equally.

5. If any admin told you that being called Stalin is ok, he was wrong. There are certain names, we don't tolerate on the server. However, everyone is warned prior to a ban, as you could see yourself.


Conclusion: Unban on 24th October, bump this thread on that day.

For future reference, this is incorrect. Warnings are a privileged given by the administration, and if someone decides to be egregious enough I will happily forget about it to remove a problem.
