arendeke/Old Pilgrim, so... What is the conclusion? I fear you only saw a fraction of the story. You now know my motive for it.

Also the impt props are import props; they have no stock because they can't be given stock. They are infinite sources of items (anything with _impt_ is or should be). I'll change all the props into buy props soon, requiring Linen to craft boots / hats (straw for straw hats), or leather for boots (they are imports for the sake of simplicity right now, but I think setting them to buy props would be best).

I see the reason why you'd nerf the melee of the musket, but I don't really think that it would be absolutely necessary since it's already got a major disadvantage which is that it has only two attack directions. Yeah, you do have a point there. I've only decreased the musket melee by a few points (5 damage from thrust to 40 damage per thrust and 10 damage to 30 damage per overhead swing), but I'll increase their speed a wee bit.

Concerning muskets on a range factor, I've only decreased their accuracy by a few points; nothing truely significant, but hopefully enough to cause people to miss once and a while (Just about every shot is a hit currently). Muskets do a massive amount of damage, and in just about every case instant kill; if they don't, then they reduce the hitpoints of the target significantly.

But... I'm going to revert the accuracy changes for now and see how they play out in the new patch with the buffed Varlithinian bows.

Varlithinian Bows have been increased in damage by 6 point, putting the most powerful bow at 34 (cutting) damage per shot, making the bow highly effective against light infantry, but still useless against armour. As the bow is the most powerful elven weapon, it needs to actually demonstrate this in terms of damage. Their bows have also been increased in price by quite a bit.

Orcish bows have not been buffed due to their bows being shoddy; the Orcs focus on melee combat and use archery for support, so their bow damage remains the same, resulting in their usefulness against armoured opponents to remain low.

We do have players on the server using the old patch that haven't updated yet (slowly being aware that there is an update).. could this be causing it? where as if the server and new version was installed to a folder for 1.1 it would avoid players joining with the incorrect version.

Also, the following props spawn an orc helmet;
nm_buy_ht_heath_black_beret
nm_buy_ht_heath_brown_beret
nm_buy_ht_heath_red_beret

Not sure what is causing your crashing; the EU server seems to be fine, but players joining with an outdated version could be causing issues (though I doubt it, more likely it will cause issues for the clients).

Also thanks for listing those props; fixed them.

Yeah I never got my 1.1 to work properly until i deleted it from my modules then installed it again the 1.1 exe version

Ah yeah, the installer treats the new version as a patch and will attempt to install into your already pre-existing directory (which happens to be 1.0); it is quite simple to fix by going into your 1.0 directory, running the uninstall.exe, or alternatively, when you run the 1.1 installer, change the target directory to 1.1. Deleting the 1.0 directory won't solve this, as the registry will still think the mod is installed.

Anyone who hasn't installed a previous version will automatically install into the 1.1 directory.

When I go on the NA servers it's all bugged to ****. The money bags are 'Books of Weapons' and when I buy a saddle horse I get a silver horse I can't ride...

You need to download and install the latest version. Make sure the installation is not installing into your 1.0 folder, but instead a 1.1 folder. The installer is bugged for users who have already installed a previous version.

Sorry about this issue. I know why it is doing this (It treats it as a patch), but I'm not sure how to fix the installer.

We have changed the module name on the server and asking our members to change it manually too. Will let you know if we continue to crash.

Also, are you expecting to get your own subforum for the mod soon? Wanting to post some screenies of my new map so far lol

Alright, good to hear. We're planning to get a subforum as soon as we can (Not sure what the criteria for a subboard is atm).  Also what is the design for your map? I do suggest you try and keep the maps small and/or sparse as you are using the same scripts as the EU server; the linking of maps together will allow you to create a more dense feeling world (whilst retaining fps).

Below is an image of the current map overview for anyone who wants it. Also please note the 'Access point' to the south; this will be where players go to save their gear for access to over servers. Make sure you have a point such as this on your map/s if you want maps to be linked.

Also try to avoid putting all of the resources on the map (or be prepared to remove some of the resources when other maps have been created); trade between maps is something we're aiming for, so all resources should be able to be sold but not all resources be harvested.

E.g. The Highlands map will be focused on hunting, woodcutting and Iron / Coal / Tin & Copper, but resources such as wheat, gold, silver, salt etc. will be lacking. So when you create a map, create it with a resource focus.

I'm not sure if I've explained it well (kinda rushed the explaination).
 
Hello just tried to join the game but keep getting the same error;

Read through this topic and apparently this is a common error but i can't seem to find a way round it. Downloaded the latest 1.1 version from moddb. Can anyone help?

You should be able to simply press 'Ok' and continue playing (don't close your game, keep it running). I forgot about this issue and thus overlooked it; will fix in the next patch.
 
Whoa that actually worked haha how embarrassing... there was me trying to create a fake texture file for it to find and all i had to do was press ok :razz:

I think the problem for us N0body will be our distance to the servers that we are meant to go and get the resources from. It may be best for us to do that on a local level rather than on a global level if that makes sense.

I haven't added any resources in yet, however id also be concerned about splitting our population (we are very small compared to NA and EU).

edit: I've put a poll to our community and will get back to you on that. I have no issues at all with EU and NA players coming to us, but my concerns would be limiting the players in our parts of the world who may be disadvantaged by relying on travelling to the EU and NA server for resources etc.

The mod is in an alpha stage. Right now I'm more concerned with getting the mod working over petty arguments and/or complaints (Bans and what-not will likely not be permanent - and shouldn't be permanent - and will not last for long out of these early versions).

The jack_totsk_swedes.brf? We were given permission to use all of the assets from the Twilight of the Sun King mod and afaik the jack_tosk_swedes.brf is from there, but I'm not entirely sure. You'll have to wait for Uhtred to post as it was he who got the permissions for all of the assets (either as individual resources or entire modifications) we are using.

None of the assets we are using have been taken from modifications we have not recieved permission to use, but I do understand the creators of said modification/s may have given permission to use all assets when they do not have a right to do so. If that is the case for these resources then I will pull the download for the mod and remove the jack_totsk_swedes.brf from the module and anything else which we have no right to use.

We took them from TOSK, thinking they had been purpose made for the mod given the name of the brf file (jack_tosk_swedes.brf). We will remove these models in the next version of the mod, and apologise for not realising earlier.

I don't care if you use them or not; I'd have given you permission had you asked. I just wanted to know who gave you permission, because whoever did so did so without authority.
 
My ingame name is LII_AUX_Pvt_Karl .I want to report RCC_Pvt_David. When I got to the server (as Empire of Antoria) he wanted to rob me (he said drop 5 k). When I said I was in his group, he repeated his statement and attacked me. I just lost my internet connection and when I was in the server again he did so on and attacked me. I said I will report him. when I wanted to escape I was kicked and baned.
