Just a reminder for everyone, regiment threads for mods are not allowed on any NW board. Wait until a board is made specifically for the mod. Thanks!

Vasilio: First of all, learn proper grammar. I realize mine has not been perfect up to this point, but I was sneaking in posts between homework. At least I am readable. If you are not a native speaker, sorry, disregard, you are doing pretty good.

Secondly, no need to be a jerk.

lol don't throw stones with a glass house.

Storm trooper is a German creation, stop stroking your cock to Canadians forces.

in other news I always liked this scene in Passchendaele

Dude, I already apologized. In case you missed it: sorry--I should not have been rude while advising you not to be a crude and vulgar jerk. I see you didn't take my advice to heart. Oh well. And I am pretty darn sure shock troop tactics were initially developed by the Russians.

I said that the Germans nicknamed the Canadians "Stormtroopers" because they were so good at storm-trooping. I never said we developed it.

I have never seen Passchendaele, but I want to. Is it a good movie?

Typical Hollywood **** movie. The mighty allies fight against the evil germans...and one ally soldier kills 100 stupid german soldiers.kk?

hmm, love stories can be good if well done. The Princess Bride is a good one, one of my favorites in fact. And romance does give a story some flair--but I generally prefer a solid war movie.

The Germans aren't displayed as barbaric in this film, its remarkably accurate in terms of propaganda and events.

Let's stay on track.

Anyways, how about some news? Azrooh has implemented a bunch of very cool features and you guys will get to see some of them in them in the next update. Also, we've gotten lots of models ingame and have also made new ones.

Stormtroopers (in German Sturmtruppen; the term "thrust troops", Stoßtruppen was also used) were specialist soldiers of the German Army in World War I. In the last years of the war, Stoßtruppen were trained to fight with "infiltration tactics", part of the Germans' new method of attack on enemy trenches. Men trained in these methods were known in Germany as Sturmmann (literally "storm man" but usually translated as "stormtrooper"), formed into companies of Sturmtruppen ("assault troops", more often and less exactly "storm troops"). The infiltration tactics of the stormtroopers are still in use today, in one form or another. Other armies have also used the term "assault troops", "shock troops" or fireteams for specialist soldiers who perform the infiltration tasks of stormtroopers.

From Wikipedia. So they were indeed a german "invention". I remember that german stormtroops were the first ones to carry submachine guns and were feared for that by the allies. Submachine guns are especially usefull in trenches, where a machine gun is to large and a normal carabine to slow. The submachine gun btw. was feared so much by the allies that after the versaille treaty, germany was not allowed to produce submachine guns. Stormtroops often carried this wierd steel cuirass which saved them from bullets and shell fragments.

Could be a nice class in your mod

I had an Idea. You know those birds that float around in NW? Couldn't you do the same thing but with biplanes in this mod? No one would be flying them but it would add to the atmosphere.

Any chance we could get a look at some new content? Pictures? We love pictures.

Does MnB use skyboxes for mapping? If so you could easily add some into the skybox to give a feel of distance.

"In the later stages of the war, particularly after their success at Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele, the Canadian Corps was regarded by friend and foe alike as the most effective Allied military formation on the Western Front.[1] The Germans went so far as call them "storm troopers"[2] for their great combat efficiency."

Also Wikipedia
May be a little biased.

I hate to keep banging the gong, but I couldn't resist.

I think I subconsciously enjoy it, yes, but it makes me look like a nationalistic nut-bar so I prefer not to if I don't stand to gain much.
