NPC (Lady) Editing clothing

Hi I've been trying to edit the clothing of some NPC's, especially the Ladies you get to court and I've not been successfull at all.  I tried using Morgh's troop editor, and even though the ladies don't seem to have headgear in their inventory, they seem to be wearing them in game.

I'm trying to remove their headgear, and change their clothing, but I seem to be running into a brick wall.  Is this possible to do at all?

The headgear does not even appear in their inventory, they somehow magically pick it up even though their inventiries do not contain them.  Starting a new game does not help this.

Do you have python and the module system or are you  using the text version of the tool? If you're using the text version you're just screwed when it comes to ladies clothes, because in module_scripts in the "add_lady_items" section it gives them clothes and hats, if you can mod the python files then just check that section.
