Interesting, but I ment a translator, not transliterator. I looked at the source and it's just a simple charecter replacement script. It doesn't do things like make 'the' into 't3h' or any of the other common replacement words.

big difference... you can do that yourself, you know...
like instead of writing the (just wrote teh..) man, you write teh man... i mean, you can use your brain, or just type fast so you make typos which is exactly what that is..

Wikipedia 说:
Leet (meaning 'elite', most commonly represented as 1337) is an online culture or attitude sometimes identified by frequent use of leetspeak (a spelling convention for typed words).

lol...

Wikipedia 说:
because the originators of the convention felt they may be under some form of surveillance

LMAO!!! SURVEILANCE!!! LOL!

Wikipedia 说:
Leetspeak was probably first used by hackers on Bulletin Board Systems, and then later adopted by users of Online Multiplayer Games and other Internet communities.

Hackers on BBS... lol

Wikipedia 说:
This is symptomatic of the desire, or affected desire or desire for an appearance of either a desire or affected desire

I desire that Wikipedia use 1337-5P34|<

Wikipedia 说:
Leetspeak is not popular among all hackers, and nowadays is most commonly used in an ironic manner to represent immaturity or to annoy people.

Immaturity? //TF?!?!?! 0|/|(_-!!! |00|35!!!

Wikipedia 说:

Wikipedia 说:
Leetspeak is a form of written slang or street talk for the information highway.

Ok? 'Tis teh 3||t3r||3T.

Wikipedia 说:
the major use of leetspeak on the Internet is as an in-joke between computer geeks

Wikipedia 说:
such as "pwned", ... Another prominent example of a surviving leet expression is the ever-popular "woot/w00t"

w00t!

Wikipedia 说:
fux0red, "****ed up" seriously messed up or deranged, often can be used to refer to a piece of hardware or software that is broken to the point that it is hardly or not at all usable
h4x (also "h4xx"), "Hacks" in English, these are usually programs for games that allows a user to cheat and gain an unfair advantage.
hax0r, h4x0r, h4xx0r, "hacker". It is possible that the substitution of "ck" with "x" is a linguistic nod to the Greek letter chi (see TeX for the original example of this). Also, haxor is sometimes found as "haxxor", as symbols for "x" are often doubled. Sometimes used as a verb, i.e. "I haxx0r you" or "OMG U HAX!!"

h4x!

Wikipedia 说:
n00b, from newbie, most often meant in the derogatory sense. (although one does not have to be new to earn this title)
ph33r or ph34r, a respelling "leetage" of fear. Most commonly used as "ph33r m3h!"

ph33r m3h.

Wikipedia 说:
rox0rz, "rocks" .... sux0rz, "sucks", as in "s|_|x0rz my n|_|tz0rz" when one feels pity for someone else, or when angry.
suxxor, some other person considered unfriendly; also used in friendly name calling among gamers.
t3h, used in place of "the" in leetspeak. Also will sometimes be used when mocking someone (i.e. "look @ me, i'm t3h ub3r h4xxorzx!!11")
ub3r, from the German word über, meaning "super" (literally translated "over," the word has taken on a new meaning), as in "Ub3r-l337". Some people say "I am uber cool" or "! @m UB3R c00l!" This word can also be spelled as ub0r to better emphasize it.
ub3rly 1337 A derivation of ub3r and 1337, meaning cool, as a replacement for "awesomely cool"
w00t or the emoticon o/, a common interjection analogous to "woohoo!". It originates from the word "r00t", meaning the h4x0r has gained root access to a system, thus proving their l33tness. It can also be an abbreviation standing for "We Own Other Team."

Sux0rz m`/ nutz0rz

Wikipedia 说:
j00, "you"

Self explanatory.

Wikipedia 说:
d00d" for "dude"
"joo" for "you", also written as "j00" or "_|00"
"ph" for "f", as in "phear" for "fear" (as in "ph34r my l33t skillz") and vice versa, such as spelling "phonetic" as "f0||371("
Note that in true leet, the following are considered improper. They are seen more as IM lingo or AOL speak.

"kewl" or kwel or ku or ql for cool
"r" for are, m for am, y for why, d for "the", b for be, c for see, u for you (giving the common see you: c u)
"2" for to or too, 4 for for (but note "4" can also represent an "A" in proper 1337)
"8" for -ate, as l8r for later
"ne" for any
"u 1 2" for "you want to" ("icq"="i seek you" style)
"nite" for night
"10x" for thanks

j00 aer n00bz0r

Wikipedia 说:
"aer" for "are"
"yuo" for "you"
"teh" or "t3h" for "the" (also sometimes used as an intensifier: "He is teh lame"). Another form can also be "da" (As in "| em da ro><00rz!!11!").
"smrt" for "smart" (This may also be an intentional reference to an episode of The Simpsons in which Homer misspells smart in song whilst burning his High School Diploma: "I am so smart! I am so smart! S-M-R-T! I mean S-M-A-R-T!")
"waht" for "what"
"caek" for "cake"
"cuet" for "cute"
"gaem" for "game"
"leik" or "liek" for "like", usually sarcastic—generally when making fun of a script kiddie or AOL-er
German "ist" for "is", often used with word "death". For example, "mp3 ist death."
"pwn" or "pwned" for "own" or "owned". This originates from the 'P' key on a QWERTY keyboard being immediately beside the 'o' key and pressed by the less-than-nimble pinky (little) finger.
"flase" as opposed to the word "false"
"Evar" or "Ev4r" as opposed to the word "Ever". This is usually used in such phrases as "BEST. GAME. EVAR."
"Laymur" for "lamer", as in one that is lame.
"Starbge" for strange"
"Tiem" for "Time"

Amen. For you... un1337 n00bs, here is a translation of the Ode:

Gaming's Edge 说:
A leet gamer's a dude who thinks they're "the hot"
But the rest of us gamers know they are not.
"I totally owned you, you noob!" they might say
As their idiot speech is placed on display.
Don't type in all caps using numbers and signs
Or our opinion of you will become misaligned.
So you hit the max level? I really don't care,
Since your high-level friend powerleveled you there.
So you got a high frag count? Which spawn did you camp?
By the way, killing bots doesn't make you a champ.
You can call me a hater, you can say I lack skills,
But this player doesn't need a cheap PK for thrills.
Thus I issue a challenge; accept if you can.
Aren't you a leet gamer? Aren't you so-called "the man"?
The ultimate task that should you succeed
All gamers shall bow down and follow your lead.
And here's the proposal-- I hope you have fun:
Go out and beat Tetris. [My work here is done.]

Sorry for the huge post, but it's teh pwn.
