Novgorod is doing nothing

Hello!

First of all let me tell you, thanks DrThomas for finally completing the mod i and many others awaited for so long!

Now to my issue.

Why is it that Novgorod is so peaceful and quiet when the rest of the kingdoms are always waring with each other?
-Not that i complain that someone doesnt randomly find me on the map and tries to kill me -

But some action would be nice. Is this some sort of bug? or is it randomly assigned by the AI?

EDIT: Are there any ways to maximise the profits from your buisnesses aside from buying the raw materials from your manor?

Can someone suggest what you're suppouse to do during peace time only? tips? strategies?

DOUBLE EDIT: Why is it that dyeworks are so profitable and easy to maintain while other industries get you barely 200-300 denars?

Sorry for this being a bit off-topic, but isnt it more convenient to buy dyeworks in all of the map's cities and get rich?

Kinda ruins the point and fun from all the other firms

you should get good relation alaxander nevsky and ask him for war. i think relation 30 is the least to have a good chance.

They got into a war when i first started the game, it lasted 2 weeks then peace ensured. Its been a year now and they're at peace with everyone around them.


I wish the king could have a vision of exterminating the horde to reclaim rus lands

Most of the lords, even the ones who i have high relations with, dont seem to have any missions for me, how do i get past this and..force them to give me a mission?

In my games Teutons never leave Novgorod in peace, until take all their holdings. And there're the mongols also. And the swedes.

in my games their vodka becomes history very fast.... they call it globalization

I have seen Novgorod fight multiple wars constantly, and I have seen Novgorod go peaceful for so long that I started a new game. In peaceful lulls, you can start businesses and work as a merchant, disband all your troops but 5 or 10 companions and hunt bandits, engage in what little palace intrigue the game has to offer, host feasts, or chase tournaments.

Usually Novgorod gets very small or disappears.

Now I am trying Novgorod and we manage to only have 1 faction war at a time. We Exchange Capitals with Teutons. We got Elbing Koningsberg Riga and they got Novgorod. Lithuania was bright enough to declare was on us while it was already engaged with Teutons and Swedes. Its gone now.

My question off topic is:
What decides which faction does the lords from beaten faction join?

5 factions disappeared and all Lords went to different factions 1 by 1. No one to Novgorod. I thought ok mayby its because we orthodox.
But I saw catholic faction lords join Muslim factions. When the brethren from Halych-Volynia got wiped non of them joined Novgorod.

We got 11 lords while the Golden Horde has like 25 by now with all the new joinings from beaten factions.
When the beaten lords were joining factions we had some estates with no owner yet to be decided.

Seems very random. I reloaded few times a save where Granada was just destroyed. Lords jumped to totally random places. Even to Teutons and other impossible places for muslim nobles. I'm not sure if they went even once to any logical place (NA or Levant) in all of four reloads.
Needs unassigned fiefs if it's unchanged from vanilla. But everyone should have at least 1 village.
