P.s. Do you prefer to use Perisno units once you have started your own faction? And also (this may just be for MelsPerisno, but i hope it is implemented), the Perisno Great Knight is now a heavy knight unit whereas the Perisno Ranger Knight is a heavy cavalry with a longbow...(in normal Perisno i think the Great Knights are just OP-SUPER-INVINCIBLE infantry..)

In normal Perisno, the Perisno Great Knight will sometimes have horses, but it's not guaranteed.  That's problematic because you end up with some foot knights carrying lances, and some infantry riding horses.  For MelsPerisno, I made a judgement that they were intended to be mounted, and set them as Mounted/guaranteed horses.  They are very, very tough.  Compared to, say a Dragoner Knight, they have lower offence (280 v. 320) but higher level (50 v. 41) and peerless armour.

Yep, and that is what i like about them. Quite expensive to maintain as a unit in large numbers, but easy enough to upgrade from the Squires. Also, with both upgrades having heavy armor + mailed horses + melee abilites, it enables me to split the mounted archers and heavy cavalry into 2 groups. I like to have an immediate charge of my Perisno Great Knights (+ Demon Priests/Constables etc) into their archer ranks, followed by re-assembling them BEHIND the enemy. Send in the archers to soften their shields and defense whilst the shielded infantry ( i prefer 1H + shield units such as the Perisno Holy Clerics in MelsPerisno [which look fantastic! ] to more vulnerable 2H units). Then when they are facing the archers/infantry, pincer their archers with heavy charge from behind and lighter infantry ahead. Noone escapes. Everyone died.

Yes, i completely agree. unfortunately i've always made the mistake (still am making it  ) of allying with the strongest faction to take the most towns and then rebelling. unfortunately i find it quite difficult to defeat 400 Elvarie archers in each village, town or castle...
And yes, the Tolranians are perfect for taking towns off because of their weak defense; hailstorm with arrows or heavy infantry will easily massacre all of their troops except Kingsmen/Kingsguard/Archers.

As a general rule for setting up a kingdom, how do you anticipte/know who will attack you? I know your "right to rule" affects this, but how high should it be to be respected by other kings as a faction. Because if i settle in Galwe, i will want to expand to Krain?Unuzdaq and the surrounding Tolranian castles...but i don't want to annoy Drahara (beyond what i have to), Maccavia, Reich des Drachen and the Hakkon Empire...
Thanks

to answer your 1st question : I never ally with any kingom when i start the game = lower chances to have negative relations with any other faction than tolrania (since i take Galwe).
BUT before i take Galwe i always make sure i have Dohosan as a companion since he has 8 persuasion and high charisma = an epic dimplomat, and with around 20-30k money i bribe and grease the other nations to recognize me as a Sovereign and have good relations with them = they won`t attack me

for 2nd question: My main army  consists of Cavalry ( Eagle/Wolf Knights, Demon Priests, Eagle/Demon Lords, Wolf Constables and Freelancer Cavalry) - this army is for open field battle.

for Siege Defence/Attack i use Perisno units mostly  i find Perisno troops to be very good in terms of Cost, Time to Train to Top Tiers, and Overall combat strenght.

Secondly i use Freelancer infantry and archers ( same reasons as above)
and Thirdly (if i`m lucky) blue blood  troops.

now that is for when i have Galwe already, before i have Galwe i try to get as many Hakkon Lancers and Heavy Lancers as i can because they have Blunt Weapons, which are great to farm Nibor Hood, and other Small-medium Parties, prisoners are a great source of income for me, and very good for getting top tier troops especialy from minor faction troops

( I won't quote the above part because of lenght, but this is a reply).

Yes, those units are amazing for open-field combat.
The Perisno units have a very nice high survival rate, especially the Perisno Holy Priests. If you are using MelsPerisno, in addition to the cool looks,  i think all the Perisno Pilgrim troop tree wield shields and blunt weapons making them ideal for taking castles and huindreds of prisoners.

yeah damn i forgot about the "snip" part, well anyway atm i`m not playing the mod, waiting for 0.7 to show up, since i`m still busy with work and lots of travel around for next few weeks.

since when i start a playthrough i play atlast 5-6 hours  at once (since i enjoy this mod so much), but atm that is not viable for me
