Not getting improved relations with Lords for saving them / granting castles?

Seems like I'm constantly coming to the aid of my own generals (have my own kingdom now) and other neutral generals.

I constantly get the 'Thanks for coming to help, you're a true friend etc' cutscene, but no actual relationship increase.

Similarly when I vote on or grant a fief to a lord it tells me I'll get a relationship increase, yet granting it does absolutely nothing.

Anyone else having similar issues?

When you have your own kingdom, this kind of reward system does not function. As they mentioned that "your own kingdom" is not fully implemented in the Early Access.
Otherwhise, when you are just a Clan-Leader in another kingdom, this reward system works properly. Anytime when I save one of my fellow Chieftains I get a relationship bonus. Whenever I vote in favor of a Chieftain, then I get a bonus or penalty too.

Thanks for the reply - I was too busy killing all the lords I encountered to notice before I started my own kingdom. A shame it isn't working now - but oh well, my vassals can just hate me...

I do get relationship boosts from saving fellow vassals when I'm serving another kingdom, though... Or at least I seem to be. One would think it should function the same way for your own kingdom.

Yes that is indeed true and I couldn't believe it myself. but the function is just not included when you are acting under your own banner.

I think relationship mechanics aren't fully implemented in the game yet, can't get to figure out if they are friendly or not sometimes so it's pretty damn hard to find a wife for example

The best way to build your relations with lords in your own kingdom is to before take on lords add all the policies grant the king)faction leader) influence and perks... then just use 50 influence to improve relations in the clans page under the kingdom tab.

Thanks for the tip - it's a shame that they still managed to get annoyed at me when I don't give them a fief - but get nothing when I do give them one...
