North & South: Suggestions

-Decrease speed and damage on the Revolver.
-Decrease accuracy on all fire-arms except the double-barreled shotgun.
-Change to 1.006 melee & cavalry changes.
-Remove the European styled maps.

You are right and wrong. The picture shows the charging of Griffin's battery at manassas, which was lead by the 14th Brooklyn (You can see the uniforms very clearly in the picture and most guys are 14th guys). But the 11th was very close and you can see their colors on the screen. So I will add the "11th NY and 14th Brooklyn" in the text :wink:

The Manassas map has a problem in the small house by one of the wheat fields, people can get stuck in the corner between the wall and the table.

EDIT: On Civil War Village there's also an invisible wall in the middle of the river. That, and spawn seems to be based in the river, so many people lose their ammo on spawn, at least on that map. I do think one or two other maps are like that, too.
EDIT2: Also, on CWV, there's another spawn at the bottom of the church. You can still walk out of it, but it's a bit weird.
EDIT3: I THINK it's on the same map, there's a gap between a fence and a flipped over table that players can get stuck in as well. Not sure why I keep editing the same post over and over... Also, keep in mind, this map MAY be Manassas, I'm still not too familiar with the NaS maps.

(Not sure if these have already been said, but it might as well be out there if not.)

Hmm let's see...
And new maps.
And revolvers.
And shotguns.
And new units as a whole.
And new weapons.
And new artillery.
And new music.
And new sound effects.

You just don't like the melee system. :roll:
And I'm sure I'm missing other changes, aswell.
 
I like this game not being the exact same as Napoleonic wars so I think that the melee is fine as it is and the Revolver is fine because this game is manly based for linebattles anyways where revolvers can't get spammed because of rules.

Exactly. No need for revolver nerfs and no need to change melee. Bring on the new units/maps

Spawns in DM/TDM are completly random, you can't fix them as mapper! I designed the map for Battle or Conquest mode. (I played on the map several times TDM but never spawned in water, so that is new for me  :roll:)

EDIT: My fault, they can be fixed. lol! I change it for next update!
 
Please Hinkel whatever you do...do not go to NW's melee system. I love melee in the CW mod and it's just fine, especially for people who like the variety.

Please, we are 50 years in the future compared to NW, remember?
The units no longer use muskets, but rifles with bayonets, so it has absolutely no use to decrease the accuracy. In fact, it would make the game unrealistic.

Weapons are accurate, men aren't. Especially when those men are militiamen and volunteers who had no idea what they were getting into. (Personally, I think the accuracy is fine, but I must play the devil's advocate.)
 
  • Tougher doors/gates for future siege (then maybe add DMG to engineer axe)
  • Ammo crates buildable by engineer ?
  • Less damage explosive crates
  • Penetration of bullets like in Deluge (you can hit 2 enemies standing in a row)
  • Bigger boats :cool:
 
Is there any way to make formations tighter?I think it would look great :smile: Maybe a square formation too,rarely,but it was used :smile:

Never played Deluge, so what you mean with this? Remember, we speak of muskets! No shot had a single chance to penetrate more than 1 body (except for graze shot for the first man and hit another behind but that has to reduce the damage to both bodies ingame).
 
I checked out the map editor and I don't think you guys included the latest new wall props added to NW. Would be nice to have em in this mod
