North & South: First Manassas [OPEN ALPHA RELEASED]

You know, the future of Secession will be interesting to see once they've done most of the US Civil War stuff.

I'd prefer no Natives or French, there were no French units assisting the Confederates at that time, Natives had maybe 1 or 2 regiments helping but even with that they were armed and given uniforms by the confederacy, and even so they didnt fight much and when they did it was out west. Once again though on a large scale they were unheard of.

it should stay as US v CS without French or Natives or any foreign support. Minus of course the immigrants such as the Irish

Range 600 yards, shell 5 second fuse!

It is: Counter battery fire, 800 yards, shell, 5 second fuse!
Btw, I think for N&S we dont need the fuse setting as in secession. It wouldnt fit well to the NW artillery system.

You should add some Native American tribes as factions. And maybe French even though they never fully supported the South they were going to.

Hehe no... no native american as a faction. Maybe in later releases, we could think about something. But I have a different plan atm

Suggestion (if you havent already)
also i suggest (if you can) you make two models of the hardee hat (the fold on opposite sides) and randomize if you get it folded on the left or right.

I dont like that plum, but there will be a different hardee hat model, without the brigade signs on it. So its just a plain hardee hat.

What will the Marines do exactly, as theyre specialists?

This is not in detail yet. But they might be able to build pontoon bridges and stuff. But maybe they are just included, cause they are cool

Hinkel. I will do ANYTHING for you to help if you put the plume on. it NEEDS the plume, it makes it... so sexy.... so yeah, get me to do banners or something (advert signatures for something and you should make the plume.)

This is going to be fun, I used to do CW living history back in the day. Anyone want a recruit for this mod lol? Sign me up!

when it comes out, ill gladly accepted you into the 6th Wisconsin my good man

Ever thought of having the main ranks more general (like Infantry, Officer, Sergeant, Zouave) and the sub classes being alterations(hats and uniforms)? That way you can still somewhat customize your character and it would sorta follow the path of Secession.

North & South is converting NW to the Civil War era, while Secession has completely different goals.. It's a nice suggestion, but I don't think it fits in with NW.

Small unit preview

The 2nd Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. It spent most of the war as a member of the famous Iron Brigade of the Army of the Potomac.

The unit will have 4 subclasses:

Private, officer, colour sergeant and bugler

If that quote is suppose to be some sort of response to my suggestion, you're not quite getting what I mean. If not, I apologize, it's been a tiring day.

If your forming the 6th, consider me a volunteer. I feel its important for your regiment to have a native speaker, me living in Wi and all

Will the Orphan Brigade have any chance to be included?

Well, those Kenntuckiens were really nice, but no "westerner" units in the first version (expect iron brigade)
