What is this?

The North American Community Duel thread is a compilation of statistics on those who have dueled in a North American duel tournament.
The thread includes a list of all duelers, who they have fought, and how they did. It also has scoreboards that display the top duelers in
various categories. These scoreboards do not assume to represent the best duelers of all time, but they do accurately show the best
duelers in North American tournaments. Thread also contains links to dueling guides, dueling tournaments, and dueling videos. So pretty
much all things dueling. That sort of ****.

Why does this exist?

It’s a helpful reference for those who don’t know their opponent well. If they’ve dueled in an NA tourney before, this thread will
have their statistics. It’s also nice to have your dueling history written down in one place, possibly making duels a bit more worthwhile.
Lastly, it was a personal interest of mine to see who scored higher than who and what everyone’s record was. I’m sure this is an interest
of others as well.

I'm better in Europe!

Some North American duelers duel in European tournaments as well, and some European duelers duel in North American tournaments. This thread only tabulates results from North American tournaments, so any duels you've done in Europe do not count.

Hey! My record is 3 - 0! Why am I not on the scoreboard?

The dilemma here was that it didn't seem right to have TLB_Owned at the top of the scoreboard with 1-0 (100%) when M is 14 - 1 (93%). Uni and I decided to make a minimum amount of duels to be able to qualify for the scoreboard, and we set that minimum at 10. It soon became apparent, however, that the pool of players with 10+ duels was way to exclusive. We lowered the number to 7. This more than doubled the pool from around 18 to around 40.

As of August 16, 2013:

8 months after this thread was created it has become apparent that as time goes on, the minimum of 7 will become too low. Already, the pool has gone from 40 to almost 60. The number has been raised to eight, which has a pool of 44 duelers, almost the same size as the pool of seven in January.

M, 22/1- Little was expected of IG_M when he entered the FC tournament in 2010. More was expected of him when, with ping over 90, he butchered his first two opponents, both of whom were formidable duelers. M went on to win the FC duel tournament and every single other NA tournament he entered. In the summer of 2011 he competed in the largest duel tournament in NA history and handily beat Fortinbras, Akmar, Braveheart and ManOfWar. He was stopped only in the finals, and only by a fellow European. After losing to Hubbel 5-7, M easily bested him 7-2, winning over 100 dollars. In 2013 M returned to NA tournaments and once again dominated, bringing his tournament win count to three, more wins than any other dueler.
IKnyI.png
Ordyn, 32/5 - Ordyn appeared on the scene later than many on this list, but probably had the most auspicious start to his competitive career. In April 2012 he joined his first tournament and proceeded to win 15 competitive duels in a row, and in doing so won two tournaments. He was defeated only in the finals of his third duel tournament - and has reached two finals since then. Out of his first 15 duels, 12 of them were won by a margin of 7-2 or better, leaving him with the best round win loss ratio of all time. Ordyn's style vexed his opponents and ushered in a new wave of feints.
rvX4u.png
Rhade, 19/4 - Rhade talked big game when he entered the KoA tournament, and backed up every word of it. He beat a GK_Leonidas once, and when Leonidas called foul he beat him again (I think he also beat him a third time. He pretty much just kicked him to the curb).  Rhade reached the semi finals in 2010's FC and two years later reached the finals in the 2012 SOD. There he was bested by Ordyn but not before proving that he could still compete against the top duelers of the day.
6guFe.png
Akmar, 15/4 - Akmar was one of the last active nKs, and performed well in all of the tournies he entered. In FC he reached the quarter finals and also received the "I will drink from your skull" award for not losing one life in a time before health regeneration. Akmar returned to dueling after a brief hiatus and had another solid run before being retired by Tyrian.
PHcVH.png
ManOfWar, 10/3 - ManO was a legendary cRPG dueler who participated mainly in the LES tournament in native. He did very well however, and got all the way to the semi finals in a 64 man bracket. He beat opponents such as Beer, DeafeningFlood, MrX and Tyrian using only a short sword and his solid blocking. He also managed to take 4 from M, an achievement hard to come by in summer 2011. He also fought in the USA tournament and was a contender for the final.
mE1Zs.png
Tyrian, 13/4 - While often overshadowed by fellow BkS member Rhade, Tyrian is an excellent dueler in his own right. He never won a tournament, but it's possible he would have won USA - he had reached the semifinals. Tyrian was dealt a blow early in the LES tournament and started at the very bottom of the loser's bracket but quickly distanced himself after a 7 victory tear in which he bested X, Jon, Hasek and Rhade. He was finally halted by ManOfWar.
T90-Q.png
Hubbel, 6/2 - Another top 10 dueler who proved himself in the LES tournament. Hubbel was just another European rando until he started winning, beating Ryden, Hasek, Peers, Rhade and Beer before being sent down to the losers bracket by M. Hubbel bounced back and trounced ManO to put him into the finals where, to everyone's shock, he dealt M his only NA loss ever, leading to a second "just in case" duel, which M won.
Nho7I.png
DeafeningFlood, 28/10 - Deafening is an NA mainstay who is practically a student of dueling, practicing specific moves and styles until they are perfected. He didn't begin to shine until summer 2012, when he and Beer vied for the championship in ASS. Beer beat him out, but their rivalry set the tone for the next 6 months of dueling. In DDT Deafening reached the semi finals, and was bested again by Beer, in a close 7-5 match. In Nvno Pls Deafening finally had his chance. Ordyn beat Beer in the semifinals and Deafening beat Ordyn in the finals, winning his first tournament.
9-zCK.png
Beer, 43/17 - Beer has been dueling competitively for as long as there has been competitive dueling. He has amassed 43 victories and 17 losses combined for a stunning 60 competitive duels. Beer's rise to dominance corresponded with Deafening's. He won his first tournament in summer 2012 and then in autumn won his second, and in doing beat Ordyn in the finals, the first time Ordyn had ever been defeated. It was a sign of things to come as he, Ordyn, and Deafening juggled dominance for the next 6 months. All three of them were in the running for BoB before it was discontinued.
HMaDL.png
Taira, 11/5 - Taira was the last of these duelers to emerge as a force to contend with. In BoB, with Ordyn, Deafening and Beer all in the bottom bracket, only Taira stayed on top, making it all the way to finals (although his opponent was never determined). A solid argument could be made that Taira has been the NA's top dueler for the bast 8 months as he easily made it to the finals in BoB (The closest anyone got to beating him was 7-4) and he made it all the way to round three in the north american duel tournament. While Ordyn was the one in the finals, Taira actually lost to M by better margins than Ordyn and also faced tougher competition getting to round three. Taira remains a dominant dueler.

Yeah, that's a problem. A better way to check stats is to click the link on the bottom. Uni and I will have to figure out a better way to show the stats.

I think there are more videos of duels from more recent tournaments, though I may be wrong. If anyone knows of any other videos they should post the link(s) here to be put in the OP.

I scoured Youtube, I think that's it. I'd love more videos though, so if you find them then by all means post them.

I finished fourth in the last (maybe only I can't remember) tournament I participated in after fighting only four duels.

I'm the real winner of the NA Dueling Community.
