Nords refuse to die...

So I've utterly and completely destroyed the Nordic Monarchy. I have taken all of their holdings, I then destroyed all of their armies in a vicious campaign, and I even went as far as too hunt down every single caravan and patrol they still had out and about.

No trace of the Nordic Monarchy remains, yet their Kingdom still stands. There are several things I think that have happened:

1.) I have their King in my prisons which isn't letting him disappear and thus the Kingdom won't die until he can vanish. I don't however, want to let him back out there to raise another Army if this is not true.

2.)I swore vassalage to the Nordic empire when I first started the game and due to some bug, because I swore vassalage I can't make them disappear.

3.)This is just some random bug and I am quite unfortunate.

Answers would be appreciated.

Apologies if this has been answered before, I couldn't find anything similar.

It takes a while after they've been cleaned out for them to lose, however there might be a lord or two left that you don't know about. If the Nords are friends with any other faction they could be sitting in one of their castles. I've seen it in a couple of my games, Khergit lords hanging out in some of my castles. Damn squatters.

Ah, I see. With the Vaegir when I took all their land they just turned red and wandered around kingdomless till someone took them in. I am really anxious for this to happen, because I am in good relations with almost all of the Norse lords; At like 90 with Jarl Aedin. So they would be some really good allies to have when it came time to invade the Khergit Khan.

You may as well release Ragnar too. If there are no Nord castles for him to respawn at, then he disappears from the game.

They finally disappeared, turned out there was one guy sitting on the beach not moving that I had to of passed up a thousand times.
