Nords offered me peace. This a bug?

The only modification I made to native M&B is the battlesizer mod and changed the script so my town spawns caravans. Now, I captured Tihr, defeated 1 Nord army trying to rape my caravan, defeated another Nord army trying to siege Tihr, and one more Nord army because I felt like picking a fight. When I approached a castle one of the vassal offered me a quest. He said he knows we're at civil war but he needs my help. I helped him. Then I talked to him about making peace and he said while I'm a masterless warlord no king shall accept peace with me.

Several days later suddenly a popup screen shows the kingdom of Nords are offering me peace. I accepted and now they aren't attacking me. Strange...

I thought they are NOT suppose to offer me peace. Dumb Nords scared of me or something. Ye gonna get me some Nords now or aye smack you silly!

So do factions offer peace when they suffer heavy losses but you hardly lose any soldiers? I was thinking of using that tweak to make me able to buy peace with kingdoms for a price but now looks like I get to enjoy peace for free. My caravans aren't attacked by patrols anymore. I only need to watch out for bandits.

Will the Nords or other kingdoms later declare war on me?

The Nords offered you peace because (I think) of M&B's random diplomacy script/code/whatever.

No idea about other factions attacking/declaring war though.

Random? I think they are shaking in fear. I just found out aside from being dumb Nords are also cowards.

It's not a bug.  I was killing off Swadians because they kept attacking me, and eventually offered me peace cause I whiped them so hard.

I'm pretty sure this is it. Once you start your 'own faction' by owning castles, the random diplomacy must kick in, because in a long campaign I have had several kingdoms declare war on me, and at other times a couple of kingdoms declare peace. It is still true though that you can't get peace by asking for it, they won't talk to you as you are a 'masterless rebel'.... One of M&B's many oddities.

The problem with them making peace, though, is that all their nobles that I had so painstakingly locked up to stop them harassing me while I destroyed their kingdom were suddenly freed. Only fair, and I guess part of the 'peace deal', but I wish I had had a say in it...
