If you want to delete everything in the map just select the first object in the list of added objects and then scroll down to the final object listed and whilst holding down shift select the bottom option. With this you will have every object in the scene selected and then a simple press of the delete key will quickly make a map devoid of anything (unless there is pre generated trees) to flatten the map simply set the radius to 100 and it should only take about a minute to flatten the whole map. All up it should only take a bit over a minute to make a completely blank map.

I understand this is where you post questions about scening?

My question:
I'm currently helping on a project to add more ladders to scenes. (Yes, I know about Smarmellow's work.) I added the ladder and stuff, but now I need to do the AI meshing. However, when I want to extrude a line to create another face to use to go up my ladder, nothing happens. I select the line, click extrude and really nothing happens except for the line becoming deselected. I tried using separated faces to create a path across the ladder, but that didn't work out so well. Most of my troops got stuck :/

Hope you guys can enlighten/help me

To select all objects in the scene, press ctrl+a.

For Carnivorious, extrude the edge from another edge that only has one face attached to it. To do this, delete a face that surrounds a ladder and extrude from the remaining edge.

Hmm thanks, will try  Awesome avatar btw.

EDIT: Okay, that's done... Only one problem, when the one unit I used as a test Ai tries to follow me up the walls, he first runs up the original ladder, then climbs down and next he climbs the new ladder. When he is almost at the top, he goes down again and repeats the process :l

If you stand far to the side will he choose one of the ladders and come up? Bots can be really indecisive when there are multiple paths to the player/enemy. But even if you made a perfect AI mesh the bots will do retarded things anyway

Ooh, I forgot to mention, make sure you use the last edge you extruded from the ladder and the closest free edge on the destination wall to form a face so the meshes are connected.

Hmm.. I'm going to remake the AI mesh now, since I made kind of a mess down the ladder  But let's see how that turns out

Also, keep in mind that the AI considers the shortest path to be the one that has the least faces on the AI mesh, so don't have too many faces going up the ladder.

Actually, I chose one big face for my new ladder. That should have made them choose that one because the original had about 5 faces. Don't know why they didn't choose any of them though.

EDIT: Okay, so I tested my ladder in battle. It worked fine, except for one thing. My troops completely ignore it. Any one any idea on how to fix it?

Salute to all!

I'm appealing to the Scener's Guild on a problem I've been encountering.
I have edited scenes in the past, and have again in Warband with no special trouble.

But for a few days now, everytime I try to add a new object into a scene, and quit to save, Edit Mode crashes to Desktop.
I can remove objects and save, but I can't add new objects. Not a drakkar, not a ladder, not even an apple on a tavern table.
Maybe it has something to do with the infamous patch 1.142, I couldn't tell. I've updated to 1.143, anyway.
I tried to run WB with DirectX 7, with the lowest settings possible, with no better results.
All this is on Vanilla Native.

Before reporting to the BugTracker, I wondered if any of you SceneMakers had ever encountered my problem and solve it?

PS: Why, hello Carnivorious, you here!

Are you using the save button on the menu, or are you pressing control+e again? You should always do the latter since the former is prone to crashing.

As a response to Samuel, I was experiencing errors with Scene editing myself. It would crash whenever I tried to edit my AI mesh. I found that using 'Take a walk around the streets' to edit in, gives crashes. When using 'CHEAT! Exterior', my problem was solved.

Whenever I open edit mode for scening at the weather effects,of 4 sliders I can see, only 3 can be worked on(the three RGB sliders). The Fourth slider(which I don't know what it is)is occupided by my toolbar.I've tried to smallen the window but I can't.How do I fix this and acess the 4th slider?
Fixed this:but another is present:
Once I change the ambient Lightning,Every time of day will display as midday in full light and all the scenes have same lightning/weather effects.

Got a little question. I've been working on a little Storage Room Project and one of the aspects is adding chests. The chests I added can be used in Jelkala, but when I add them to Praven, they all say Acces Baggage. Which isn't what I need? Anyone knows a solution?
The chest must be added before the terrain border
That was my answer, but I don't understand what he means. Anybody want to clear things up for me ?

Well, just to give feedback, guys: problem is solved: I had to tick the 'Force Single Threading' box in menu.
No idea what 'Single Threading' means, but that did the trick.
Edit Mode don't crash no more.

Thanks to all for your help!

Yay for trial and error

1. Maybe you should try to reduce the number of squares TO the ladder, not just onto it?
2. Did you try to move the Attacker army's Entry Point, and place it at approximately the same distance from both ladders?
