sorry how do I lower terrain? what is the radius and all that?
If you look at the Terrain tab in the Edit Mode program, you will find 4 bubbles you can click on to enable (Rise, Lower, Smooth, and Level). Click the bubble next to word "Lower" and you will be able to lower terrain. To lower terrain, left click your mouse on the map and you will start seeing the terrain fall. Above the four bubbles you should see a slider that represents the radius size. Slide it to how big or little you want your radius to be.

great! thanks

Here's my new Map, "Old Lighthouse".
It's a Battlemap. The accessible area is very limited, though it doesn't seem so. Everything around is just ambient, really accessible are only the two plateaus on both sides of the chasm - roughly speaking.

Please comment,
Greetings, Corran.

Corran, that looks great! Fantastic! Looks like a fun map to play on! Don't mind me, but as for how great the map is, wouldn't you think the side with the towers and battlements put it's team with too much of an advantage? It seems to have a lot more cover than if you were to start by the trees. Probably making the side with towers and battlements more into favoring archers over infantry and cavalry. This is coming from just looking at the pictures, and this certainly doesn't look like a good map to play cavalry on.

Well, Sir Slytacular, i do not really understand you question - or rather argument.

I think you got the spawn points wrong, so I'll point it out. Team one spawns at the foot of the stairs that go up to the door of the Lighthouse. Team two spawns between the two ruined houses behind the ruined tower with the siege-shield on top. (Look at picture tow. here you can see both spawn points, where the ground has the "village" texture)
The accessible area ends at the overthrown cart at the way down the hill. (picture one. The path with the stone pillars is not walkable, beyond the area limits.)
So the map is VERY close up and cavalry will be most useless - in that point you are right, Sir. Therefore i think the map may be balanced, though the party at the lighthouse may have a slight advantage. It is not tested yet!

Edit:

Hey Folks, i have a question here: Is there a possibility to flip objekts horizontal or vertical? There simply must be, I recognize it in the "Village" map of native with the "town_house_steppe_c". How is it done?

Greetings, Corran.

Ooooohh, Okay! I thought one side would start all the way by the trees... Wow, that's a small playing field!

You're calling me sir? Is that sarcasm? If I offended you any shape, form, or fashion, I apologize. I was just trying to supply you with feed-back from only looking at the pictures is all.

Now that I know that I know where the spawns are on this map, this changes my entire opinion on it. Some of the best maps are very small, and they're very action-packed! I'll tell ya, I can't wait to fight on the bridge on this map.

Edit: I don't think there is a way to flip something horizontal or vertical easily. To flip something you have to alternate between Z and X (hold Z to rotate horizontally; hold X to rotate vertically). You do this until you get the angle you want.

Oh dear, no Slytacular, it was no offense! I am just a medieval-freak and i slightly fit my tone to my attitude, so here "Sir" means, i do feel much respect for you. *smile*

To the horizontal flipping: It must be possible or else a have to be wrong in mind. Do me a favour and open the native map "Village" with the editor. Than look at the two houses that are afoot both towers. Those haver those characteristic terraces covered with foliage. It is "town_house_steppe_c" but they are flipped! I can't get the one by the upper gate through rotating along y,x or z. How then! Flipping would give so much more abilities to scening an would be very easily programmed, i can't believe they didn't include it...

Greetings, Corran.

PS: Screens of another new map coming up soon.

Edit:
And here they are:

Arabian City

So, here another new map, the one that I like best so far! I think it plays a little bit like the native "Village" map, though both factions spawn inside the town. One team spawns down at the townsquare, the other in the courtyard of the castle.

It would be pretty cool if you make a fort similar to St.Augustine. Was going to do that because I live near to it.. But I'm freakin lazy.

I draw maps in free time so I think making a game map is just the next step.
Just give me a big flat map with nothing on it!

We wont give you anything. Instead, read the first post, completedly. Your answer regarding the flat maps is there, somewhere.

Like a 5-point? thats already very difficult. Plus, how would you give the attackers a change to win?

I just need a way to delete everything quick (Or find a map without much on it)

Well, I think I know now, how to help you...
You never scened a map before, right?

Then please read the first post and check out the tutorials there. One of them refers to adding new maps. This is the thing you are looking for: When you add a new map, it will be blanc.
The link in the first post seems to be broken (Nordous may fix it...)
here the correct one: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,131475.0.html

These steps may at first seem a bit complicated, but you'll quickly get used to it - and you'll need them anyway, if you want to get into scening. The module system is - as I think - essential, so install it, you won't regret the effort.

I hope, this answered your question. If you have any problems with adding new maps, please post in the thread linked above.

Greetings, Corran

Thanks, but I don't think I'm going to make maps in the near future. Opened Edit mode first time and my game is doing very weird. Can't start Native multiplayer and my savegames are gone
