Lord Serius

Knight at Arms
2nd thread on this sub-forum.

Anyway, I was wondering about a few things. Primarily about Nobles joining your cause. I have one village as a Sarleon vassal. I get about 3 nobles a week and I made sure I had party space, but the problem is that I don't really get the nobles, it just says that I do.

I was wondering also about sieges. Whats the best unit to take into a siege? I'm playing on the easiest difficulty and my mid-tier troops die easily by the evil hands of the Dsharr. CRUSADE!!

These are my questions.

EDIT1: I was also wondering if it is possible to get a crown for a helmet in-game?

Check the FAQ, to sum it up you can only recruit those nobles once you've acquired your own Town/Castle, then after you build a training ground, you'll see the option to get those nobles when you talk to your steward in the castle/town. If you don't have one, the the Nobles will just add up in that list, which is still go to have in the end for when the time comes when you actually get a castle/town.

There are crowned helmets available to buy, and another is awarded to you under certain...hard to miss conditions...

Your question about sieges is answered in any way you wish in the FAQ.  Check out Griefer's faction specific guide.

Oh thank you. One down, 2 to go.

np actually, check the FAQ and scroll down to where you see the Faction Stategies.. There are some great write-ups there for each faction that can give you an idea on what's good to take into sieges and all. Granted it's based on POP 3.0 which was for M&B 1.011, but never the less, it can still help.

Also to your edited question, there are Helmet Crowns in game just gotta find them in the Armor shops in the various towns.

What about recruits? When I have my own kingdom, do the recruits HAVE to be pendorian? Because I have my own village as stated before.. a Sarleonian village and my recruits are pendorian...

Becoming a king?

Read the FAQ, and use search  All of these questions is answered in this sub forum. If i remember right, i read somewhere that it was 80% chance for Pendorian recruits, 20% for whatever faction the village originally belongs to. I'm not sure though, so you could try search

Edit: And yes, becoming a king gives you a crown. I have to say, that the one we got in the warband port is great

Yea, gotta remember you're techinally Pendorian, so whatever Village you own will be pretty much 80% Pendorian and 20% on the other culture that's there now.

Ironically, I find it funny that this never the case with Castles/Towns you own since I was hoping if my background culture technically is indeed Pendorian then why not have your Noble recruits be able to recruit Pendorian Nobles, as well what culture that town/castle belongs too. Since at the moment the only way to get Pendorian Nobles is to go the King Route

The 23 FAQs that I read were not my questions. The other parts are just boring

I'm a bad person, I know, but still I like to get straight answers from the community. You must also understand I'm a noob at PoP...

Also, search doesn't help me usually. :/

Understandable, but keep in mind not many people have the patience I do, so if you get blasted by not reading the FAQs, or using the search engine, don't say i didn't warn you .. Anyhow continue to enjoy POP

Search does help if you´re cunning enough to use it properly (=means you know what you´re looking for).

It should be a 80/20 chosen background faction/original faction of village split of recruits that you get off your kingdoms villages.

And yes, you can get a crown as helmet ingame.

Their is a crowned helmet in the game that is quite elegant.  Since your questions are answered, I am locking this.  Next time, please either use "search" or post a question like yours in the "Questions about Strategy and Gameplay" thread.  There are some very good reasons why we don't want people starting up a new topic for every question:

1)  If you ask a question and we post the answer in the consolidated thread, it makes it easier for someone with the same or a similar question to find it using "search."

2)  The Dev Team (at the moment primarily just me) does not have to look at a gazillion topics and answer each, then lock the ones which are redundant, which is the majority of them.

3)  Most new topics started are on subjects which have been thoroughly addressed either in the FAQ or in the Questions thread.

I am sharpening my fangs for use on those who post new topics about things already answered/explained in their proper threads.  Be warned!
